Meet The Man That Sued God To Court And What Happened After

Just back in 2007, a Nebraska state senator, Ernie Chambers sued God to court. Keep reading to find out why he did and what happened in the court.

Ernie Chambers was born on July 10, 1937 (83 years), his father was a pastor for the Church of God in Christ. He earned his bachelors degree in history in 1959 and finished law school in same University in 1979.

He is the first African American in Nebraska history to run for governor. He's also the only African American to run for the senate. He served from 1971 to 200o and again from 2013 till date.

In 2007 when he sued God, Chamber's lawsuit sought a permanent injunction ordering God to stop certain harmful acts and also the making of terroristic threats.

According to Ernie Chambers, the defendant (God) is guilty of causing floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, terrifying tornadoes, plagues, devastating droughts, wars, birth defects and so on.

In August of 2008, Chambers and God got a date in court, judge Marlon Polk the presiding judge. An empty table was reserved for God and God's attorney. The judge dismissed the lawsuit because God's home address was not listed which made it impossible to summon him, therefore the case could not move forward.
Chambers however, said that since God is omniscient, he doesn't need to be served because he would have known.

Chambers hoped to make a political point with his lawsuit, that a court should be required to hear a case, no matter how frivolous it might be. "Anyone can sue who they choose, even God".

Let's know what you think about this in the comment box below. Like and share for others. Kindly follow too for easy access to premium contents and also it means a lot to us. No fake news of course, Thank you

Opinion: If You Notice These 3 Things in any Keke Napep, Stay Away For Your Own Safety

One of the means of transportation apart from boarding public vehicles is entering or boarding a Keke Napep. Most Keke riders have filled up the transportation business thus making most cities in Nigeria to be filled with Keke Napeps.

Many Nigerians including me, love boarding Keke Napeps because of how comfortable it is and I am certain most of you are familiar with what I am saying. But like every other thing, criminals, evil people have also made their way into the business to perpetrate evil on unsupecting individuals. In this article, we are going to be having a look at the 3 Things You Should watch out for in every Keke Napep to avoid falling prey to evil doers.

1. If the Keke Rider and The Passengers ask you to sit in the middle: this is a dangerous movement. Don't agree simply because they told you to do so because they could also be part of the evil gang planning to either abduct you or use you for any other diabolical purposes. Don't get me wrong though, I am not saying anytime you are asked to sit in the middle that it means you will be harmed, but take it more seriously when both the rider and the so called passengers collectively ask you to sit in the middle of two other passengers.

They do this most times to make it easier for them to abduct or do something evil to you without been disturbed by your resistance.

2. If the Keke Rider Tries to Follow an Unnecessary Shortcut: I put it this way because some shortcuts are necessary. Some are unnecessary in the sense that the main road may not be congested and the rider intentionally tries to follow a shortcut, that's a dangerous move. If you are in such a Keke Napep, immediately the rider tries to divert in a remote shortcut, immediately ask him to alight you if you care about your life.

In some unfortunate cases, the rider takes such people to remote areas and either rapes the person if a lady or abduct the person and ask for ransom from the person's family. Please this is a serious tip you should take seriously to avoid being hurt.

3. If Other passengers start discussing something like a business idea and ask for your input: this is another tricky method, most fraudulent Keke riders employ to scam unsuspecting individuals. Most times they make use of charm while discussing and deliberating in the Keke Napep of which immediately you interfere or give your input as regards their discussion, you get charmed and their wish becomes your command.

Immediately you enter a Keke Napep and the passengers start discussing a business idea and start trying their best to get your own idea, please alight from such a ride immediately if you don't want to scammed. This method has been used to scam alot of individuals off their monies and I decided to share it with my viewers today.

"I Knew Why I Was Evicted" - Here Are Some Things Ka3na Had To Say After Her Eviction.

Ka3na was the first big brother Housemate to be Evicted from the reality show yesterday. She hasn't really been in the best of terms with her fellow housemates, so it was no surprise that most votes to get her out came from her fellow housemates as many despised her.

Ka3na had a lovely message for her fans after she was Evicted from the show. She made a video in which she thanked her fans who she referred to as BOSS NATION.

She thanked them so much for their support and unwavering loyalty towards her while she was still in the house.

She said she was filled with mixed feelings and that she knew why she was Evicted early from the show.

Ka3na told her fans that she was Evicted because she knew she was a strong contender in the show and that it isn't the end for her because she will still rise.

She said she is not completely sad at her Eviction because a part of her is very happy as she is back to her family and daughter who she misses so much.

She ended her video by saying she hopes she will make everyone (most especially her loyal fans) proud now she is outside the house.

Benefits Of Rice Water On The Skin

How do you make and store rice water at home?

There are two very simple ways to make rice water at home.

1) In a large vessel, soak a cup of uncooked rice in double the amount of water, and leave for about half an hour. Strain the water into a bottle – this is rice water.

2) In a cooker, boil rice in twice the amount of cooking water that you normally use for cooking. When it is half cooked, strain out the water into a bottle, and use as rice water.

Storage: Rice water should be stored in a jar, vessel or bottle with a lid at room temperature in a dry place. It can be consumed immediately, or over 4-5 days. The older the solution, the more concentrated, so you may need to dilute it with water with each passing day. Rice water should be thrown away after 5 days, and fresh batch whipped up.

Tip: It is preferable to use organic rice, clean filtered water, and rinse the rice thoroughly before use to get rid of any topical pollutants and pesticides. White rice is preferred over brown or red rice – since the water from the former has more extensive benefits.

What does it contain, and how often can you use it?

Rice water has a multitude of components with nutritional value for the skin and hair. Around 16 percent of these are proteins, the building blocks essential to cell health. Triglycerides and lipids each make up 10 percent of the rice water composition, while starch (an extract still used in Japanese cosmetics), is present at 9 percent. Carbohydrates, inositol, phytic acid and inorganic substances are other components in rice water. This is what you get when you boil an average handful of white rice in two cups of hot water, and strain out the residue liquid.

Rice water can be used twice a day everyday as a skin toner, once a day in a skin mask or as a facial rinse. It can also be used as a shampoo as often as you shampoo your hair, or as a final rinse.

How to use on your skin:

Wash your face as you normally do and pat dry your skin with a towel. Use a cotton pad soaked in rice water to completely saturate your skin, as you would do with any skin toner. Let your skin air dry and then apply your moisturiser. Repeat twice a week for best results.

It acts as an astringent on the skin, tightening poresIt nourishes and protects skin due to vitamin E it contains. It helps the production of collagen, preserving skin elasticity. It inositol content helps promote cell growth and regeneration. It acts as an antioxidant to protect against free radicals and aging. It protects the skin from UV-damageIt helps heal acne and cools redness. It helps treat eczema

SKIN BENEFITS OF RICE WATER

Over the years, various studies have been testimony to the fact that rice water, part of Asia’s culinary legacy, is also part of its beauty legacy. And for good reason. There are several benefits to using rice water for the skin.

1) It soothes skin conditions in sensitive skins, including acne and pimples. In 2002, a study from the Department of Toxicology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium determined that patients with skin conditions like inflammation, rashes and dermatitis benefitted greatly from taking a bath in rice water twice a day. So people with sensitive skins, rejoice! It is the most natural astringent you can ever imagine, thanks to its high starch content, and is good for people suffering from chronic acne and pimples as well.

2) It keeps your skin safe from the sun

Rice water is a natural sunscreen, protecting from the harmful effects of UV rays. In addition, rice water can be used to treat sunburns. Just apply it on sun-damaged skin, and it will help your skin recover faster. It also helps tighten open pores. A dermatological study on patients with atopic dermatitis claimed that taking a 15 minute bath with rice water twice a day could improve the condition significantly.

3) It is an anti-ageing solution

Skin texture is greatly improved, and elasticity is restored by using rice water, especially in the case of dry and dehydrated skin. Rice water is rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, flavanoids and phenolic compounds. In addition, it contains ferulic acid and allantoin, all of which are necessary for skin function.

4) It improves the complexion

One of the key functions of rice water is brighter skin and an even skin tone. If you dip a cotton ball in fermented rice water and massage it into your face, it really works wonders. You’ll find sunspots, pigmentation, hyperpigmentation and freckles lightening.

Soak a cotton pad in rice water and apply it on your clean face like a toner. Applying this concoction on your face promotes cell growth and stimulates blood flow. This natural skin toner keeps you skin smooth and bright.

6) It protects against skin cancer

Not only does it promote cell growth and regeneration, keeping your skin supple and smooth, it also has antioxidants, which keep various skin cancers at bay and also act as an anti-ageing agent.

7) It benefits the skin on your body, not just your face

You can use it as a bath soak – just add two cups of rice water into regular water that’s in your bath rub, and finish up with a few drops of lavender essential oil. Soak for about half an hour to reap the skin benefits of rice water all over the body, while the lavender lulls you into a comfortable sleep-like state.

8)For pores:

Washing your face with rice water will reduce the size of the pores.

HAIR BENEFITS OF RICE WATER

How to use on hair.

Wash your hair as you normally do and rinse them well. Work in some rice water in your hair, leave for a 2-3 minutes and rinse well with water. Repeat once or twice a week. If you need to use extra conditioner, use a leave-in one after you towel-dry your hair.

Rice water is an excellent hair conditioner. Studies have shown that it contains the carbohydrate inositol, which stays inside hair, even after rinsing, offering continuous beautifying and protective effects:

Increases hair elasticity,Reduces surface friction,Strengthens hair,Helps restore damage,Make hair shiny and manageable

1)For healthy and shiny hair:

After washing your hair with shampoo, apply some rice water to

your hair. Allow it to stay for a few minutes and then rinse it off.

The proteins in this rice water will strengthen your hair shaft and

leave it smooth and shiny.

2) Say goodbye to frizzy hair

In 2010, a study was published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science, where researchers clearly stated that using rice water as a hair treatment offered several benefits including improved elasticity, texture and lesser friction and frizz. This is largely due to the presence of inositol, a carbohydrate.

3) It is a chemical-free hair cleanser

Using it as a shampoo to wash out your hair may not be as convenient as a store bought shampoo, but it comes without chemicals and preservatives, and you don’t even need to follow it up with a conditioner. 3) It balances your scalp’s pH levels

Rice water keeps your hair’s natural oils intact and its pH levels are similar to that of the scalp! For added benefits, a few drops of your preferred essential oils can be added to rice water, and this mix can replace your regular shampoo.

OTHER USES OF RICE WATER

1) It is good for stomach-related ailments

Including rice water in your diet is beneficial in more ways than one. It can cure a number of ills such as stomach infections, gastric problems and nausea. It improves gut health drastically, which in turn reflects on the outside, giving you smooth and radiant skin.

2) Rice water is good for babies

Rice water is also used extensively across Asian cultures for babies who are weaning off nursing, to settle their stomachs.

3) It keeps the body healthy

Drinking up rice water is a natural cure for eczema, fever and other bacterial infections. It is full of energy, with a low-cal but high-carb way of providing your body with the boost it needs to get through the day effectively.

4) For a probiotic face mask, take half a cup of curd and mix 2 tsp rice water into it. Let it sit for ten minutes. Then apply all over face and neck, and leave on for 10 minutes. Wipe with a wet washcloth and pat dry. This pack has anti-ageing and skin firming benefits.

5)Mix half a cup of rice water with half a mashed banana in a blender. Add a few drops of castor oil and apply all over face, including a very thin, careful layer under the eyes. Dip some cotton wool in a teaspoon of rice water and slowly remove the pack. Once every inch of the paste has come off, splash water on your face and pat dry. For tired and dull looking skin, this pack is ideal.

6)Here’s a real treat! This antioxidant scrub will have your skin glowing in no time. Add 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder to a tbsp of rice water and mix well. Scrub this into the skin in slow upward strokes. Then rise well and pat dry with a towel

What are the cons?

Rice water is not a miracle cure, but a slow, healing process. While you’ll see visible benefits using it for a few days or even weeks, to reap its real benefits means making a lifestyle change. It’ll need to be a part of your daily routine just as much as eating breakfast or brushing your teeth. Also, try to get certified organic white rice, since non-organic versions may have extensive traces of dirt, pollutants, bacteria and pesticides that you are privy to, resulting in skin problems like eczema and so on. Since the product is homemade, it doesn’t contain preservatives. So you’ll need to keep an eye out for when it’s going bad and quickly make a new fresh batch every couple of days.

Apart from all this drinking rice water everyday will boost your

overall health including your skin health too; so think twice

before you throw away rice water.

These tips are not from a medical expert. Make more findings and/or exercise caution if you decide to try them.

Discordant tunes over conduct of post-UTME in schools

As universities commenced the writing of post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for prospective students, mixed reactions have trailed the exercise. Most of the students described the exercise as cumbersome, thus, making the entire admission process difficult. They subsequently called for its cancellation.

However, a few of the candidates who expressed satisfaction with the exercise said the screening makes the admission process credible and should be applauded.

Speaking with The Guardian some of the candidates insisted that the exercise should be jettisoned, while some others were undecided, while a few supported that it should be continued.

Ogochukwu Adobi, a 200-level political science student from the University of Benin (UNIBEN), wondered why candidates should be subjected to another screening exercise after they have already passed UTME.

Oboh Solomon of Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State, asserted that the screening exercise is a medium by the institutions to exploit students financially.

He said, “I don’t see the need for post-UTME when there is the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). I think the only thing we need is school screening and not that boring post-UTME which institutions are using to extort money from poor students”.

Adeniji Ibatullah who is seeking admission into the University of Ibadan (UI) said, “the post-UTME is totally unnecessary and should be scrapped. “We have already done UTME and written O’ level examinations. , are those not enough to test our abilities? These exams are just tiring; the government should pity us and cancel the examination.”

Shittu Habeeb who is seeking admission into the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINA) said, “I live in Oyo state and had to go to Minna to write the post-UTME. I am not even sure if I will gain admission into the school, it is stressful to travel there and come back with so many uncertainties around my admission. The government should scrap the exercise, they should device other means to test our abilities, better still after they give us admission, whoever does not do well enough after the first semester should be sent home.”

Hamzat Idris, a LASU admission seeker said, “We have to pay for WAEC, NECO, UTME and those are still not enough? They should try to choose a specific examination that will help the admission process.”

Adeyemi Oluwamayowa, another candidate said she has been battling post-UTME screening in the last three years.

But some students insisted that the exercise is worthwhile and should be continued.

A student from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), Enugu State, said, post-UTME is a way to curb examination malpractice, although it does not eradicate it, to an extent, it evaluates students’ performances in the UTME. In my time, it was a big challenge, as I had to do the screening exercise twice even after passing UTME successfully. It built my intellectual capacity and I strived hard to cover all syllabuses related to JAMB.

I think it’s a good measure of scrutiny to ascertain whether a student is qualified to study in our Universities”.

Another student said, “It should be scrapped. Although some might argue that it is a way of generating funds for the school. I still think it is unnecessary. I have seen people score very high in UTME and could not gain admission because they had low scores in post-UTME”.

Joy Da silva said, “The screening is further testing, it should be continued. Some students pay their way through secondary school and also have people upgrade their UTME results for them, it is very hard to beat the post-UTME system, and so it is really helpful.

Keep your kidney healthy: Stop the following habits

Your kidney perform numerous functions, to include maintenance of acid-base balance, removal of excess water, excretion of urea in form of urine, etc. The health of the kidney is paramount to life and in this article I'll highlights some common habits that endangers the kidney.

Reduce the consumption of red meat: Too much of red meat is not good for the kidney. Ensure you reduce your consumption of red meat. Better still, you can eat fish containing omega-3 fatty acid instead. Too much of red meat increases the pressure in the renal artery of the kidney, thus increasing the work load of the kidney.

Minimize consumption of soft drinks: It tastes nice but it does more harm than good. In general, reduce the rate at which you consume cold drinks and try to drink warm water sometimes.

Holding of urine: Most people have the habit of holding urine in the bladder until it gets filled up before they pass out urine. This habit is very bad because these urine can precipitate to form crystals and become deposited in the kidney as tiny stones which could lead to kidney stone.

Lack of water intake: Most people have this habit of not drinking sufficient water which often causes kidney stone. Ensure you drink sufficient water to keep your system hydrated always.

Overweight(Obesity): Watch your diet. If you gained weight over the last few years, ensure you diet yourself and burn some of the fat from the body. Aside affecting the kidney, people who are obese are likely to suffer from type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Excessive consumption of alcohol: Reduce your alcohol in take to a level that's safe for the kidney. Alcohol is another leading cause of kidney problem. Excessive alcohol increases the work load of the kidney.

Health tips for the kidney

• Drink a glass of water once you wake up in the morning.

• Avoid excess salt.

• Empty your bladder as at when due.

• Ensure you drink clean water or better still boil the water and filter before drinking.

• Exercise your body in order to be fit.

10 Things That Happen While We Sleep

Sleep is a time for enjoying some peace in your body. It's also a chance for the body and brain to recover from the hard work of a day. Have you ever been curious about what happens to your senses and mind when you sleep? Many of you are going to suggest that parts of the body are resting, recovering strength, and so on. It's true but it's not that easy. Some might think of snoring but it's not the only curious and funny thing that happens while we're sleeping.

In this article we shall find out all of the mysterious activities which occur while we sleep.

10. Falling

Most likely you've had a sudden sensation of falling that wakes you up when you try to sleep. It is not a dream of falling, but rather a physical feeling along with hallucinations. It is a reaction of the brain to a misperception of data. You have this feeling of slipping because your brain is still unconscious while your body is already awake. It happens when you're exhausted, or have had a stressful day, or you just haven't been sleeping for a while. In this case, as soon as you touch the pillow, the brain doesn't wake your body, it falls asleep. There is another syndrome caused by tiredness, known as the syndrome of the exploding head. It's when you wake up due to a big sound or a flash of light. It's not the most pleasant thing when this happens, you can even start stammering. If this happens very often to you, you can blame your brain for falling asleep before your body or for refusing to sleep properly.

9. Sleep Paralysis

Imagine this case, you wake up, you want to get up and go to the bathroom or the kitchen and get some juice, but you know that you can't move. How is that even possible if you might think I'm awake? You can see all the things you hear around you, all the sound and all the smells you sense. Some people with this strange syndrome feel the paralysis only. Others feel like they can't breathe and some scary creature sits on their chest, strangles them, and takes away their soul. However, this is caused by the deprivation of stress and sleep. Five to eight percent of all people have experienced this feeling at least once, according to scientists. The sleeping paralysis itself is terrifying but without danger involved. But, to avoid that, get enough sleep on your back and don't sleep.

8. Sleep Walking.

Walking to sleep can be very risky. You will quickly trip across things when walking sleep, slip out of a window, get out of your house, and even drive your car. The curious part is that during the night you can't do a lot of things but the most curious part is, when you wake up you won't remember a thing. If you wake up enough to activate your body but not your brain, you'll start walking to sleep. Walking to sleep can occur for up to an hour. You should wake a person up while walking in sleep because it's going to be too painful and the person may recover from psychological distress.

7.Sleep Talking

In certain ways this trend is similar to the last one, except in this situation, people utter all sorts of thoughts in their sleep instead of doing it. When anything like this happens to you, don't wake up the person and remind him or her what you think of them because they don't intend to do so. Sometimes this condition happens within the first two hours after falling asleep. When the body is already sleeping in a deep face while the muscles have sufficient strength to reflect the content of that day's dreams and emotions. Their sudden conversations usually last no more than 30 seconds.

6. Recurring Dreams.

Do you happen to see the same dream again and again? These dreams are usually easy to remember for they are often colorful and emotional. But, why is it happening? Why should our brains think about something new? Those dreams are very important to us. They warn us that we have unfinished business or draw our attention to certain real-life events that we can not see for some reason. They can also be caused by a problem that you're stuck on and don't know what to do about it. Then try to think about your problem before you sleep the next time and you will probably find a solution.

5. Your Nose Is Sleeping Too

People who love sleep often say that I am not going to wake up. But even a person from the deepest of sleep can call out loud, noisy noises. On this principle, too, operates the alarm. But now we are moving towards an organ that can not be awakened, the nose. Even the densest of odors can't wake it up even though your brain processes them. It happens because the information your brain collects fuses with the images from your dream. So if you sleep while someone is cooking, you will probably have something nice to eat in your dream. Not even the taste of a fried egg or the sweet scent of good food will wake you up. Though this might seem great, it is the reason why people die during a fire.

4.Sleepy eyes

You 're wrong if you think your eyes are dwelling with your nose. They rest, but they're still moving at the same time. When a human falls asleep, they close up their eyes to shield the retina from light. Because of the active blood flow to the muscles and internal organs, the eyeball moves slowly under the lid during a deep sleep phase. The blood flows into the brain during the quick sleep phase

3. Eternal Youth.

According to scientists, your body temperature and blood pressure will be low when you sleep and your heart will relax and recover. You are recharging the body from work and making plans for the next day. Our body generates collagen and protein when we sleep which makes the skin more elastic and strengthens the vessels. So you do not need a cream with special components after a pong and healthy sleep, because your body is rejuvenating itself. This means you can regenerate every day. The body tissues renew during your sleep, the metabolism of oxygen increases and the toxins are removed

2. Growing Up in your sleep

Measure your height when you are about to sleep next time and repeat the same procedure in the morning. You'll be taken aback. The invertible disk is not having as much friction as it does when you sleep. So, they need more space to spread out. It straightens your spinal column but it does not last long. You'll have the same height again in the Afternoon and it happens every day like this.

1. Brain work

If you don't think your brain works during sleep, then you're not right. For a second the brain isn't stopping. It continues to control all processes within your body but in a slightly different manner. Once your brain sleeps you switch to a more peaceful pace. The brain processes all the information acquired during the day step by step, and distributes it to the right brain section.

Constant deprecation of your sleep may cause your memory to mix up facts and miss important things. It also has the potential to retard important work and examinations.
