Troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE in conjunction with the Nigerian Air Force on Operation DEEP PUNCH has within the past one week embarked on clearance operations to dislodge Boko Haram terrorists (BHT) from their camps.

A statement from Colonel Kingsley Samuel, Deputy Director Army Public Relations 7 Division on Sunday said, troops successfully cleared the terrorists’ hideouts at Talala, Ajigin, Mangzum, Abagajiri, Kafa, Dusula, Buk, Malumti and Abulam.

“In furtherance of the clearance operations, the troops on Friday, 10th November 2017 while acting on credible on information that the terrorists were massing up at certain camps in fringes of Sambisa forest, advanced and cleared the BHTs at Shyadawe-Angwan-Fulani, Shyadawe-Angwan-Bula-Musa and Shyadawe.
“The troops during the operation encountered BHTs and neutralized many of them. Unfortunately 3 soldiers died in the operation, while 6 soldiers and a Civilian JTF sustained injuries. The remains of the deceased soldiers have been evacuated while those injured are receiving medical treatment at a military hospital.

“The troops captured 2 gun trucks, 3 motorcycles, many bicycles and a laptop containing valuable information. They also located a vandalised and unserviceable tank in one of the cleared BHT camp.”

A teacher is facing jail after she tried to force pupils to sleep with her in exchange for good grades. The woman idenfied as Yokasta M, 40 threatened to fail the pupils if they refused to sleep with her. 

According to Metro UK, Yokasta who taught at a school in Medellin, Colombia was caught when one of her victims spoke to his parents after his father saw pictures of her on his phone. He told them that she would send explicit pictures of herself via WhatsApp after approaching them on social media.

She offered to ‘help with their studies’ before sending the images to the 16 and 17-year-olds in exchange for good grades. She is now facing 40 years in prison and her husband is seeking a divorce. 

A student while exposing some of the photos wrote: ‘This is the teacher Yokasta, who tells us that she disapproves of us if we do not have relations with her. '
