Seven Stupid Things That Are Making You Poor But You Don't Realise

Poverty is defined as not having enough material possessions or income for a person's needs. Absolute poverty is the complete lack of the means necessary to meet basic personal needs, such as food, clothing and shelter. The threshold at which absolute poverty is defined is always about the same, independent of the person's permanent location or era. On the other hand, relative poverty occurs when a person cannot meet a minimum level of living standards, compared to others in the same time and place. Therefore, the threshold at which relative poverty is defined varies from one country to another, or from one society to another.
Causes of poverty is a highly ideologically charged subject, as different causes point to different remedies. If you develop a culture of wasting money, you will die poorer than you ought to be. There are several decisions that we make that waste the cash we could have saved. For those of you who have less money just to meet your bills, you will die poor if you continue doing these seven things below;
1. Aping Others
The people you associate with have varied financial capabilities and priorities. In case you will be tempted to copy them, buy what they have, and generally live their lives, you will die a miserable man. Live your own life guided by your decisions that can only be supported by advice from professionals and trustworthy friends.
2. You Never Give to Anyone
It seems counter-intuitive, but keeping everything to yourself only causes you to have less. Proverbs 11:25 says “ The generous man will be prosperous , And he who waters will himself be watered.”
3. Failing To Compare Prices
You have gone shopping several times and paid more than the actual value of the good or service you received. This results from the failure to compare prices. If you develop the culture of comparing prices, you will increase your savings. Do not shop in expensive stores for purposes of recognition when you don't really have the money.
4. Lust After What You Don’t Have
Desiring something better is not a bad thing, but lusting after it is. Buying things you can’t afford, because you are not content to wait until you can afford it is a great way to stay poor.
5. Failing to Return Faulty Items
There are times when you buy something but notice that it does not function as expected. If you have not inflected any mechanical damage on it, you should return it regardless of its cost and get your money back or be given a working item. Failing to return it is wasting money.
6. Spend More Than You Make
This is the easiest way for anyone to become poor. so be careful, It doesn’t matter if you make millions or hundreds each month, the same principle applies.
7. You Don’t Pay Attention to Where Your Money Goes
From talking to people about budgeting, most of them say that when they started budgeting it seemed like they had a whole lot more money. The reason being that they didn’t know where it was all going before they were budgeting.

This Is What A Man’s Hairstyle Says About Him.

Today, image is considered one of the most important thing, it defines your identity, personality and style. It holds great social significance as it is tied to how people think of themselves, how society as a whole perceives them, or even the laws of attraction.

Here are six popular men’s hairstyles and what they communicate about the man.

1.Bald

Image result for bald black man

Frankly speaking, most guys who sport a clean-shaven head do so to beat a receding hairline or are just from military training. Whatever the case though, bald heads are usually a show of confidence.

What it says: A study conducted in the UK claims that bald men are more attractive to women and are perceived as dominant. This is probably because they have accepted that their once thick head of hair is no more and have chosen to look past it.

2.Dreadlocks

People with dreadlocks nowadays do not have to contend with most stereotypes that were associated with locking hair in the past such as someone who is unkempt among other unsavoury things. Men with dreadlocks especially, have not had it easy.

What is says: While the stereotypes have not been wiped out completely, nowadays ‘locked’ hair represents free-spirited people who do not necessarily conform to the norm. Men sporting dreadlocks are mostly found in art-related industries.

3.Buzz cut

For this hairstyle, the hair is clipped close to the scalp using electric clippers making the face more defined. It is a low-maintenance hairstyle for men of all ages that usually has the advantage of looking good on all face shapes.

What is says: This hairstyle usually alludes to men who are busy and have no time to deal with complicated hairstyles. Men in the corporate space usually prefer this style.

4.The fade

Also known as a taper, the fade hairstyle involves gradually cutting the hair on your back and sides shorter as it gets closer to your neck. Chances are you have seen several men sporting this hairstyle in its different variations; the curly top with a fade, the buzz cut with a fade or dreadlocks with a fade. It is quite common as it works with every type of hair.

What is says: This hairstyle certainly points to the young at heart. Men who sport a fade are definitely concerned about their looks and take grooming seriously as fades usually need to be maintained by regular barbershop visits. They also tend to be stylish.

5.Coloured hair

Save for the traditional hair colouring on men, hair dye has for a long time been perceived as a preserve of women. However, in modern times, men have not been left behind and have successfully joined the coloured hair bandwagon. It is now common to see them sporting either highlights or fully dyed hair.

What is says: Whether in dreadlocks, short hair or other hairstyles, men who colour their hair are daring, adventurous and are usually fun to be around. Like their dreadlocked counterparts, these men are usually in creative industries and are expressive. Hair colour for men, and no, not black dye, is basically code for “I am open-minded and I like to try new things.”

6.Afro

As much as Afros are not as popular as they were in the past couple of decades, some men have maintained this signature hairstyle for most black people. By growing their hair out and leaving it in that gravity-defying state, they are embracing their crown.

Use These Simple Yet Effective Things Below To Overcome Spiritual Laziness

Its time to stop being lazy.

Overcoming spiritual laziness starts with first acknowledging what it is happening. Doing this makes it easier to do the following. Here is what you need to do when you become spiritually lazy:

Wake up

Spiritual laziness usually creeps in those moments when we choose comfort over discipline. For instance, you keep snoozing your alarm until you barely have time to get dressed and go to work or when you find yourself procrastinating, doing your chores, any and everything but actually spending time with God.

Overcome spiritual laziness by starting now, not later
Overcome spiritual laziness by starting now, not later.

To combat this, you have to wake up and I mean that literally. Set your alarm, go to bed early and wake up on time. Once you open your eyes, GET OUT of bed. Avoid lying down even for a second, stand up, wash your face, do whatever you need to do to WAKE UP.

Go to your spot

One thing I learned from a Christian movie called 'War Room' is the importance of having a separate place to simply be with God. It really highlighted the need for a quiet spot for God.

Even Jesus Christ occasionally abandoned His disciples to spend one-on-one time with His Father which just goes to show that everyone needs that one spot in their home that is set apart from time with God. So find it and then go to it once you wake up. It goes without saying that this place should have no distractions.

Get into the zone

Once you get to your spot, imagine that you are in the presence of your loving Father who is pleased to see you (see Jeremiah 29:13,14). Sit, kneel, lie down, stand, bow, do as your spirit leads.

Just Start

Once you have gotten comfortable in Abba's presence, just start. Start singing, praising, praying, and reading your Bible. If you are led to start with a prayer, do that, if not, praise, pray or study the Word. Try not to focus so much on the routine instead go with the urgings of the Holy Spirit. Look to God not the mode of worship.

Stop being lazy, it does nothing for you

Dwell

In order to really kick spiritual laziness once and for all, you have to be consistent. Don't be the kind of Christian who occasionally visits the Father, aspire to dwell and abide always in God's presence. Trust me, it gets easier and more enjoyable the more you dwell.

THESE (5) FIVE STEPS WILL HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS NEXT YEAR

Are you thinking of strategic steps through which you can achieve your dreams? then you are in the right place because this article is designed to bring to you several ways you can become a better you next year.
There is no leading organization today that is not a product of futuristic thinking and wise planning, every building is a product of the dreams and plannings of a person. You either get out of your bed and pursue your dreams or you can lay down on your bed and dream your whole life away like smoke.
Now the New Year is fast approaching, the wise are preparing for a new year while others can only picture the upcoming holidays and celebrations. You are either a successful man who lives in tomorrow or an average and myopic man who lives in today but don't be the failure who lives in the past. These steps will help you accomplish your dreams next year regardless of the field you find your self.

(1) SET YOUR GOALS
It is true that a physically blind man with a vision is better than a man with full sight but without a vision, according to Myles Munroe " it is purpose that defines a man". Set your goals for the year by drafting out your dreams for the new year not on your mind but on paper because "thinkers on papers are best thinkers" David O Oyedepo.
Where there is no vision, the people perish: (Proverbs 29vs18) t his is because visions and goals are the essence of human life and the distinction between human and animals.
(2)PLAN AND BREAKDOWN YOUR GOAL WISELY
Have you ever wondered why God didnot create fishes before water, man before oxygen, vegetations before land or even birds before the sky?
God planned and divided his work of creation into 6 days in such wisdom that the creations of the later days depends on those of the former to survive, in like manner, Create a good plan by dividing the goal into several segments, divid it into daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly segments so that it can be easy to achieve .
Psalms 90vs12 says "teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom". Remember that it is combination of steps that makes up a journey and Rome was not built in a day.
(3) MAKE IT PLAIN
Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that he may run who reads it (Habakuk 2vs2).
After writing and breaking down the vision, it is very important that you make it plain on paper so that you can read it daily even as you run with it. You can type, print and paste it where you will see it every morning so it can be your daily energy booster. As awkward as this may sound, typing and printing it will make you more determined about it than just writing it down with a pen.
(4)CHANGE YOUR APPROACH
You have been traveling around this mountain long enough, turn northward(Deuteronomy 2vs3).
A wise man once said that the definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expect a different result , if you must experience change you must change your methods and approach because the door to your kitchen will never lead you to your bedroom no matter how many times you try.
Doing the same things you did last year in the new year will lead you to the same place last year led you to. It takes only new method to see new result, If you want your meal to taste different you must prepare it using new methods and recipes.
(5)SEEK COUNSELL FROM EXPERTS
Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established(Proverbs 15vs22), you can only find safety in the multitude of wise counsels.
There is nothing you are after today that is not another man's story, it is best you seek counsel from those who have successfull experience on that field than to dare into the dark room without inquiring from those who were once there.

Top Ten Countries In Africa That Speak English Fluently, No 1 Will Amaze You

English is a West Germanic language that was first spoken in early medieval England and eventually became a global lingua franca . It is named after the Angles, one of the Germanic tribes that migrated to the area of Great Britain that later took their name, as England . Both names derive from Anglia , a peninsula in the Baltic Sea.
There many sources on the Internet that claim that they provide readers with the information based on the studies by the World Linguistic Agency concerning the best English speaking country in Africa. We have tried to find the official site of this organization but failed. Some internet users even insist that such agency does not exist at all. That is why we have analyzed the available information and decided to provide you with the list of the countries.
1. Uganda
Number one in our ranking of the best English speaking countries in Africa 2018. English is the official language in Ugandan educational, juridical, and business system. There are 60 other languages and dialects spoken among the population. If in the case with the second and third places on this list, there are different opinions (some sources place Zambia on the second place and South Africa on the third respectively), all agree that the first position belongs to Uganda.
Uganda is landlocked and is well-known for diverse landscapes which cover the Rwenzori Mountains with their snowy tips. Uganda has a beautiful large Lake Victoria. Uganda is famous for an extensive range of various animals including chimpanzees. You can find here an enormous variety of birds.
2. South Africa
This beautiful country is placed in the southernmost part of Africa and is the second best English speaking country on the continent. You can also hear many other languages here, including Afrikaans and isiZulu. The general number of official languages is 11 in this country. South Africa is well-known for having diverse ecosystems which are distinct. Kruger National Park is an Inland Safari destination which is visited by thousands of tourists because of the high population of the big animals.
3. Nigeria
Our lovely country is considered to be the third best English speaking nation in Africa. However, like the situation with Ghana, Nigeria is often criticised for heavy dialects, and some sources do not include our country on the list of the best English speaking countries in Africa. Nigeria is placed on the Gulf of Guinea. It is famous for its variable wildlife and incredible landmarks. One of the most recognizable places is Zuma rock which is a monolith reaching a height of 725 meters located outside Abuja, the federal capital territory of the country.
4. Kenya
Kenya is located in Eastern Africa. Nairobi is the capital as well as the largest city in this country. There are various ethnic groups in Kenya which prefer native language. Nevertheless, the official one is English and Swahili. You can hear both languages commonly. But English is only used in government, education, and commerce matters.
5. Zambia
You can find this country on the south-central part of Africa. English is the official language, and it is always used in education and business communication. The primary local language is Nyanja. You can also hear Bemba dialect in this area. The people speak a total of 73 languages, including Lozi, Kaonde, Lunda, as well as Tonga.
6. Botswana
Botswana is another landlocked African country on our list. It is in the Southern part of the continent. While Setswana is ordinarily spoken in this area, English remains the official language of the country.
7. Zimbabwe
The English language is the commonly spoken in both education and judiciary system. Shona and Sindebele, both Bantu languages are also ordinarily spoken as native languages in the country. 70% of the population speaks Shona while a relatively smaller 20% chose Sindebele. Venda, Tonga, Shangaan, Sotho, Kalanga, Nambya and Ndau are other Bantu languages are also spoken by the people.
8. Malawi
The country is located in Southeast Africa. The major part of the population speaks English fluently.
9. Ghana
There are eleven widely spoken languages in Ghana, but English remains the language of the State and its commonly used Lingua Franca. French language is also trained in several schools in the country because predominantly French-speaking nations surround this nation. Ghana is on the list even despite the widespread criticism over their ‘thick’ accents.
Here, English words are often mixed with a heavy tone of pidgin, which perhaps, confuses many foreigners. However, Africa was colonized, and it is difficult to prevent the influence of the native languages on the English language.
10. Rwanda
This is a landlocked country. It is located in central and Eastern Africa. Rwanda is one of the smallest countries on the Africa continent. English, Kinyarwanda, French, and Swahili are official languages in Rwanda. While English is the main language that is used for educational purposes, Kinyarwanda is the leading national language in the country.
Now you know that Uganda is considered the best English speaking country in Africa, and all available sources agreed on that. South Africa, Nigeria, Namibia, and Kenya are also good English speakers. Nevertheless, Nigerians and South Africa are strong competitors with Uganda.

In Nigeria, These Are The 17 Ways To Avoid Being Kidnapped

It's the yuletide season and cases of criminal abduction are on the increase as we approach the end of the year.
In the past few months alone, hundreds of Nigerians, from the high to the low, have been kidnapped across the nation.
The menace of kidnapping has become such a threat that many are wondering how not to fall victims.
Opera News sat down with Asstistant Commissioner Of Police Gideon Akinsola Rtd, security and safety expert, has distilled 15 ways to stay off the radar of kidnappers and other criminal elements.
To protect yourself and your family, here are tips on how to prevent kidnapping:

1.   Stop routine movement:
Driving or walking through the same route will make it easy for suspected abductors to gather information about you and can make it easy for them to track you down when they are ready to strike. Find other streets or highways you can use when driving from home to work and back. Kidnappers rely on your routine to track you down and then look for a time when you’re most vulnerable to an attack. Stop being easily predictable.

2.   Don’t discuss your family outside the house:
Whatever issues you have with your family must not be discussed outside your house. This is to maintain safety as it has been reported previously that kidnappers also gather information from those in one’s neighborhood. What happens in the family should stay in the family.

3.   Do proper checks before employing workers:
Before you employ your new housekeeper, driver or any other employee, please do proper background checks about that person. Know the family members and let the person give the name of a guarantor that can stand in for him or her. This should be done because some people who are kidnappers may pretend to be seeking employment with you.

4.   Maintain a moderate lifestyle:
To avoid being kidnapped, you should check your lifestyle. If you have been living loud, try to tone down in moderation by adorning not- too expensive wears that announce you. Looking expensive all the time can make you a target of kidnappers. Keep your head down.

5.   Don’t discuss money publicly:
To avoid being a victim of kidnappers, another area you must check is receiving phone calls that involve discussing money, especially huge sums. When you discuss such amounts of money in public, you send signals to kidnappers that you are rich and can be their victim. Anybody, including your domestic help or co-commuters, may overhear your telephone calls or conversations and arrange for your kidnap.

6.   Know your neighbors:
To avoid living close to a potential kidnapper, get to know that person living close to you well. Find out if the person is living alone or not and the kind of job that person does for a living. Respect people's privacy but making discreet investigations about who they are and what they do for a living is not a bad idea.

7.   Don’t get too close to a stranger:
People that you do not know, try not to share valuable information with them. That stranger may be a kidnapper in disguise so avoid strictly any stranger that tries to move close to you unnecessarily. At all times, be conscious of what is going on around you and take appropriate actions at any suspicious behaviours from strangers.

8.   Keep emergency numbers:
It is important to keep emergency numbers like numbers of the Police that you can quickly call whenever you sense kidnappers are monitoring you or you notice anything strange in your environment. #767 is a toll-free number incase of emergency.

9.   Be aware of your environment:
One of the major ways to avoid kidnapping is to be thoroughly vigilant which means you live in your house like an investigator. This entails being aware of every happening around you and your family every time. Vigilance keeps you alert when others are not.

10.   Always keep your phone handy:
Keeping your phone with you at all times is very important, as it can be a source of help when there is a threat of kidnap. Do not just keep your phone with you but also make sure you have airtime, no matter how little so that it can be useful in times of danger.

11.   When you notice a threat, attract the attention of people
Whenever you notice any threat of kidnap around you, attract the attention of people around to yourself by screaming or shouting. Keep doing this until you notice that people have gathered around you and can come to your rescue.

12.   Don’t get too close to a stranger:
Try not to share valuable information with those you don’t know. That stranger may be a kidnapper in disguise so avoid strictly any stranger that tries to move close to you unnecessarily.

13.   Let someone know where you’re going:
If you must meet a new acquaintance, make sure someone knows where you’re going and who you’re meeting. Leave a message with a family member or friend where you’re headed and if possible, give the name of the person you’re about to meet and other details you might know. It's better than most to give too much details of the new acquaintance to your family than too little incase the information becomes vital.

14.   Do not accept rides by strangers:
Once you get into a stranger’s car, you are at their mercy. They could either incapacitate you or hold you hostage and you might not have an opportunity to defend yourself. So, as much as you can, refrain from taking car rides from total strangers who may have ulterior motives.

15.   Train your children to never talk to strangers:
It is your duty as a parent to train your children to avoid strangers, even if they seem friendly and offer gifts. If a stranger asks for help, tell your child to refuse and to call the attention of an adult immediately. If a gift is being offered, tell them not to accept anything, no matter how tempting.

16.   Be careful about what you post on social media:
Social media has been a blessing to many but it can also be used as a force for evil. Be careful not to reveal too much about yourself or your family members via social media. No need to flaunt new cars, houses, or condominium units. Never reveal addresses and be sure to turn off the GPS function on your smartphones. Do not post on social media the places you frequent. Some people are unaware that Facebook and other sites reveal the specific location from where you are posting on social media. This could make it easy for you to be trailed and hunted down by kidnappers.
17.   Be vigilant always: Like boy scouts, you need to be prepared at all times. You don't have to wait until it is dark to put on your 'Caution' signal but you should be wary at all times. It is true that most crimes occur at night but there is an increasing growth in kidnap cases happening in broad daylight so you should always be vigilant, day or night.

Five Ways To Make Someone Respect You.

Respect is an attitude of consideration or high regard. It cannot be bought or given freely to those who do not deserve it.
We all crave honour, respect and dignity. We love it when people respect us. We get excited and elated when people treat us honourably.
As a boss, without coersing your followers or instilling severe purnishment in them. They can respect you gladly. You just need to do some basic things that will make both the young and old respect you.
Now, how do you make people respect you gladly?
Below are five ways to make people respect you;

(1)• Respect Others
It is often said that respect is reciprocal. If you want people to respect you, respect others. Respect people’s opinions and decisions.
Naturally, people gladly respect those who are respectful. Anyone who is too pompous to honour others cannot enjoy people’s honour.
Normally, there should be a special way you address elderly ones. You don’t address the elderly ones the way you address young people.
Although, you are older than some of your followers, but talk to them and work with them respectfully. If you want those people to gladly respect and honour you.

(2)• Make Yourself Respectable
How can you expect people to respect a 50-year-old man who lies or steals? Nobody will respect such a man because he hasn’t made himself respectable.
Those who crave the respect of others must do things that will make people respect them. The truth is; respect is earned it is not freely given.
Until you start doing things that will make people treat you honourably, you will never be respected. Stop doing things that will portray you as an object of scorn.
Be positive about your decisions. Take decisions that will earn you more respect.
(3)• Help People
How do you normally see those who have helped you in one way or the other? Do you see them as irresponsible, responsible, good people?
Honestly, no sane man will deliberately dishonor his destiny helper.
Most of the time miscreants hail and honour wealthy men. They don’t hail them because those people are wealthy but because they are expecting some money from those people.
However, if those rich people don’t give them anything, they may get disappointed and lose their respect for them.
Please, don’t misinterpret my message. My message is simple. If you bless people, they will honour you. If you help the needy, you will be respected for that.
My point is; people gladly respect those who help them while they disrespect people who refuse to help them.

(4)• Be A Responsible Person
To earn people’s respect, you must be a responsible person. Do you know why some wives disrespect their husbands?
It is because those men have abdicted their responsibilities and left everything in the hands of their wives.
Be a responsible mother. Never expect your children to honor you in the future if you cannot train them up in the way of the Lord now.
For everyone who wants to be respected. Firstly, learn how to be a responsible person and let’s see if people will not respect you.

(5)• Stop Asking For It
Well, you may not like this point but it is the truth. I have seen people who are fond of asking people to kneel down for them, and do all sorts of things, in a bid to earn respect from them.
When people see that you are so engrossed with the acts of honour and respect. They may decide to frustration you and never respect you.
Listen, you don’t need to beg people to honor you. Just do the things that will make people respect you gladly.
People know what they are supposed to do. But if you are forcing your will on them, they may not ex scute it gladly. Just command respect through your way of life and giving lifestyle.

In summary;

Be relentlessly proactive. Don't always wait for direction from others.
Keep your promises. This is by far one of the most important actions you can take to start gaining respect.
~Stop apologizing. ...
~Don't waste other people's time. ...
~Stop gossiping immediately. ...

5 Things You Should Never Do When You Finally Get Rich

The efforts you put in to be at the top of the success mountain is definitely a tough one. You sacrifice long hours of hard workhoping that you can be better than average or the best.

Decide for yourself what is important to you, but understand that you are rich so be careful on what you decide. Forget the nonsense odd word that says “do what you love and the money will keep flowing”. Maybe true for the 1% of the richbillionaires, but for the rest being rich meant sacrificing other aspects of life in order to stay richer.

HERE ARE 5 THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER DO AFTER YOU FINALLY BECOME RICH:

1. Not Paying Attention To Health:
Wealthy and richer people sacrifice a whole lot of time to their health. This includes visits to their doctor, a healthy lifestyle, and sports (76% of successful people do physical exercises at least (4) times a week). Also understand what your health insurance policy does and doesn't cover andstick to it. Know how much to pay in the case of copays and deductibles.
2. Having A Single Stream Or Source Of Income:
You can get this straight by seeking or thinking out additional streams of revenue. If there are factors in forming a product that nearly everyone in the world wants/needs, then a calculated risk is worth takingaccordingly. The rich and wealthy individuals knows that a large net worth will net many opportunities and will create more and more wealth in the future. So are you still sticking to one source of income? The choice is yours.
3. Not Reading A Lot:
Not reading simply means you don’t think. Reading help you to carry out some set goals excellently. Expanding how you think outside the box by reading at least 30 minutes every day, reading books about self-development, professional materials, and historical literature will help you stay up to date, learn and grow.
4. Irrelevant Communication With Toxic People:
Rich people do not rapport with negative people, rather they are connected with people with like passions. Instead of sitting there discussing on what is not working, accumulated pay bills, don’t do this. Use any time you have to speak with people to promote yourself. I’m yet to meet a rich person who is willing to waste his/her valuable time and mental energy talking about other people’s private life.Does it put more money into their accounts? Definitely not.
5. Not Knowing Your Main Purpose Of Why You BecameRich:
Those rich people who pursue their main dream andpurpose in life are in no question the wealthiest and happiest among us.

When you are rich and dealing with what is not purposeful you are bound to lose focus. And it’s easy to predict how that will end: failure. They devise a mission, Even if it is as simple as enrolling their kids through college, and their daily budgets are aligned with their long-term goals.

In Conclusion staying rich is a skill that requires correct mindset and it’s not for everyone. Maybe is not for you if you still keep the poor mindset of the poor and lose your wealth, watching out for these signs will help you retain your wealth when you finally become rich.

Men with these 10 traits make the strongest, most valuable partners

1. He has his own goals and dreams.

If a couple is going to have one teammate who has big plans for their own future, it’s going to need two teammates who have big plans. For both men and women, being with someone who is much less motivated in life than you are is going to cause tension in the relationship.

One will not understand why the other works so hard. He or she will not understand why their partner is up at 5 AM to go to the gym. He or she will get aggravated when you have to put in extra hours on that Friday night.

A man who will be comfortable with a woman who is driven and ambitious will need to be on a similar path for himself in order to understand and appreciate her hustle.

2. He brings his own security to the table.

A man who constantly needs reassurance or validation will likely not find what he needs if he pursues a woman who is strong and independent. She will be secure and confident in herself and want the man she is with to be the same.

While she will likely show him love and affection — because she cares for him and wants him to feel loved — she will not constantly be reminding him of how much she needs him in her life. Because she doesn’t.

A strong man will not expect to be needed by a woman of this calibre, but it is important to note that men still want to feel wanted, and we all still need love and affection to feel valued in a relationship, so this cannot be overlooked.

3. He respects your privacy.

Women who are focused on their own mission and path in life are not taking time out of their day to look for validation from others. They are living in the moment and are too busy to bother caring what other people are thinking.

A man who is going to date this type of woman has to work with her on what is kept between the two of them and what is exposed to the public. In the social media generation, privacy is hard to come by. But for a relationship with a mature, independent woman to work in the long run, it still has to be made a priority.

4. He won’t pacify you.

No man should ever be abrasive or disrespectful to the woman in his life, but honesty and integrity is still an important part of making a relationship work. A man who is a ball of mush will never be able to hold the attention of a strong woman because she will walk all over him and he will never give her the stability that she needs.

The type of man who will fit well with a woman of this calibre will know when to be flexible with her and when to stand his ground. She will respect him more for it.

5. He’s comfortable taking the reins.

Just because a woman may be in charge from 9 to 5, Monday through Friday doesn’t mean she wants the same responsibilities in a relationship. At the end of the day, many women still appreciate a man who is the man and will make plans for them on date night. A man who still romances her. A man who is chivalrous and respectful. A man who understands that a woman can be independent and should still be treated like a lady.

6. He’s not possessive or jealous.

Possessive, overbearing men are kryptonite to strong women. Smothering or coming on too strong to this type of woman is the quickest way to ensure that you push her away immediately. She’s busy and doesn’t need (nor want) her hand held constantly. She works best with a man who lives his own life alongside hers, not one that tries to intertwine the two.

7. He’s a strong communicator.

This doesn’t mean just knowing how to speak and express his feelings, ut also knowing how to listen and interpret hers. Not all women are verbally open or affectionate, but they will show you how they feel in their own ways. It is important for a man to be able to hear what the woman in his life is doesn’t say, as well as what she does.

8. He’s never condescending.

When he compliments how great you are at something, the right kind of man for a strong woman will never end the sentence with “You know, for a girl.” A man who can effectively build a relationship with an independent woman will see her exactly as she should be seen: as an equal.

This means respecting and valuing her opinions as well as openly telling her his own. It means being able to have deep, meaningful conversations and really listening to her viewpoints. It means never assuming she can’t teach you something new or show you new experiences; in fact, some of life’s most important lessons will come from her.

9. His support is unwavering.

As Mark Twain once said, “Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.”

This same concept applies to relationships as well. Men and women who are strong and secure in themselves will have no problem standing behind their partner when support is required. They will not betray your trust or discourage you from living the life you want to live.

The right type of man for a strong woman will know when to stand in front of her when she needs protection, behind her when she needs support, and beside her when she wants a teammate.

10. He has a great sense of humour.

Despite the hard outer shell some strong women dis., they are still human beings who experience every emotion. Nobody wants to be stern or serious all the time, particularly those with high-pressure jobs or a stressful lifestyle. A man who can lighten the mood at just the right times will not only be a great lover but a great best friend

5 signs of low self-esteem every woman should avoid.

First off, it is not only women that experience low self-esteem but given the world we live in, many women end up battling with this without realizing it.

Therefore, if you see any of the following signs in your life, it means you have low self-esteem and you must flee it.

1. You care little about your appearance

Because you already think you are small, you see no reason to try hard to 'tush' yourself up. Hence, you end up not caring so much so that you look disheveled.

2. You try too hard to look good

In the same vein as the case above, you may find yourself going out of your way to look excellent because you think poorly of yourself. Therefore, you are always after the latest designer, your makeup and hair are always on the flick.

3. You bully

This is the all-time indicator of low self-esteem. Most times, we women take it out on other women when we feel bad about ourselves, probably because the person is all that you are not or reminds you of yourself.

4. You seek attention

Some women with poor self-image assume that by being popular they will feel better. So they try to be the center of attention by being overly dramatic at every public gathering.

5. You lack enthusiasm

Confident women tend to be productive and out there, seeking new challenges while those with low self-esteem tend to shrink away and give off an indifferent approach to life.

12 Types of Fake Friends You Should Keep A Distance From

1. The sycophants: The ones who think only people with power are worth respecting
They are very selective when it comes to respecting others. They try to get close to the ‘big fish’ to pave their way to success and dismiss those they deem unimportant.
They will agree with everything and say the right things just to stay on the good side of people with power.
One way to deal with them is to call them out during the act itself, which is probably on everybody else’s mind. If the situation occurs in an office meeting, and the person is agreeing with the boss’s idea that you know will not work, voice out your concern, and ask the person to elaborate on how he plans to make the idea work, which he probably can’t.
The key is to keep your words and tone tactful.
2. The braggers: The ones who brag to feel important
They will boast about things that may not necessarily be true and tend to exaggerate a lot.
They will go to great lengths to impress others so they can feel good about themselves. They especially like to show off materialistic things.
Before we get to the ways to manage the braggers, it’s best we first look inward and ask ourselves this – what is the real reason for our discomfort? Are we just being envious of the person?
If it is clear that the braggers are making everyone else uncomfortable as well, try to find a few of their redeeming qualities and genuinely praise them. It’s clear to everyone, except the braggers, that they are trying to overcompensate for their lack of self-esteem.
By making them believe that they do possess qualities that deserve respect, they are less likely to resort to bragging in order to feel good about themselves next time. If it doesn’t work, try to casually slip in the conversation that while you feel happy for the good fortune of others, you are not the type of person that is easily impressed by that.
Hopefully, the bragger will get the memo.
3. The people-pleasers: The ones who would do anything to get people to like them
They go out of their way to please others just to be liked. They need a sense of acceptance, even if it means they have to pretend to flatter or agree with someone.
Most of the times, they do not do it out of malice, rather it stems from an extreme need or anxiety to get on everyone’s good sides. However, it can be rather off-putting to hear the people-pleaser rave on and on about something or someone that doesn’t reflect their actual opinion.
In this case, help them out. Invite them to be open about their feelings with you. Tell them you appreciate honesty over glazed-over half-truths, and that being served with anything less than that equals to being disrespected.
4. The attention-seekers: The ones who constantly seek attention
They are usually loud because they are desperate for attention. They try to make everything about them and want to be included in every conversation.
They always want to be noticed and think the world revolves around them.
The attention-seeker may be the easiest type of fake people to deal with! By giving them the exact opposite of what they are craving for, which is attention, they will run out of steam sooner or later and will move on to the next targets.
5. The shape-shifters: The ones who create new personalities to feel accepted
They want to be accepted by society because they are insecure and lack self-esteem. They try to be a totally different person just to fit in.
They can be sweet one minute and loud the next. They can pretend to be interested in something they’re not just to be liked.
This behavior is typical in people with low self-esteem and mirroring of others is just their
(lame) attempt of trying to fit in and be accepted. If this particular behavior makes its appearance only when the shape-shifter is around certain individual – those that he tries to impress – pull him aside and let him be aware of the situation.
Encourage him to be authentic and tell him that others can usually see right through the facade.
6. The Little Miss Sunshines: The ones who try too hard to convince people that they’re happy
They tend to portray the illusion that they’re living the perfect life. They make it seem as if they’re always happy even when they have trouble at home.
They would rather keep things hidden in the closet than let others know about the ugly truth that lies beneath.
This is evident in their perfectly curated Instagram feed that is filled with travel adventures, heartfelt tributes to their loving partner and pictures tagged with #blessed .
Okay, we get it – you’re extremely happy. But research has shown that genuinely happy people are busy enjoying their life that they don’t need to convince others (and themselves) of their happiness via the number of likes they receive on their social media posts.
More often than not, they are just masking the struggles that they are going through. With this understanding, what you can do is wish the person well and scroll or walk away. If you feel like that is not much of a solution, perhaps the problem lies deeper and a self-reflection is due.
7. The fantasists: The ones who share interesting stories that are not 100% true
They will make something sound a hundred times better than it actually is.
They use social media as a tool to show off their perfect travel experiences and hide any mishaps that they may have encountered during the trip.
When they come back, get ready for tales of adventures that sound like they are lifted right of the pages of fiction novels – which they probably are.
While you may not want to sound confrontational by calling them on their fibs, it may be the only way to call attention to their annoying behavior. Just remember to keep a level head and merely point out the facts or discrepancies that they may have forgotten .
Be prepared to have the fantasist pulls on a defensive mode but it’ll serve as a reminder the next time he feels like embellishing his stories for you.
8. The gossipmongers: The ones who thrive on gossips
They are often two-faced. They can be nice to you today and then gossip about you the next day.
They just love to gossip because it makes them feel important. They crave for attention and they think having juicy gossips to tell would make them interesting to others.
The reason you should be very wary of people who love to gossip is you can be sure that once you leave the room, you will have the target behind your back.
The first thing you can do is to not partake in the gossiping itself. What draws people in is the strong energy, albeit a negative one, surrounding a juicy gossip. Attempt to diffuse the negative energy by injecting a few positive comments about the person they are discussing.
If that doesn’t work, tell them point-blank that it is inappropriate to discuss the person in such a manner, before excuse yourself. You may risk being left out after this, but who needs gossip-mongers in their lives anyway.
9. The disparagers: The ones who bring people down
They will try to find faults in the happiness of others to make themselves feel better. They will point out something negative even when there is none.
Some would do anything to make other people look bad just so they can look good.
The disparagers thrive on a willing set of audience, so don’t be one. If he is genuinely facing a crisis with the person and is looking for advice, acknowledge their frustration and suggest that he takes up the matter directly with the person involved.
Then, to avoid any awkwardness, change the course of the conversation to a more positive topic.
10. The grouches: The ones who complain about everything
You can count on the grouch to sap off your energy like a vampire.
Just the sight of them walking towards you with a frown, or their name appearing on your phone screen, is enough to make you feel emotionally drained.
They have keen eyes for details; and that’s not a bad thing if they can also see the good as well as the bad in any given situation.
First of all, make them feel heard. Tell them you would feel the same way if you were in the same situation – this will pave their willingness to partake the next step with you, which is to invite them to consider things from another point of view.
Sometimes, all it takes is offering them a different perspective, that their clouded brain is not able to see on its own.
11. The know-it-alls: The ones who claim to be an expert in everything but never follow anything through
They seem to know everything, except for admitting this: “I don’t know.” They believe they are the go-to person for everything.
But the most infuriating characteristic of theirs has got to be their unwillingness to even consider other people’s opinions and ideas, which makes it a real problem if they happen to be your co-workers.
In a battle, there can be two possible, favorable outcomes; either you’re able to prove you’re right or you win the overall battle. Sometimes, if your job and reputation are not at stake, you may be doing yourself a big favor by thanking the know-it-all for their input and calmly walking away.
12. The know-it-all may think they are in the right, but it is you who wins the battle – for saving yourself from having to go through the seemingly endless and pointless debate with them.

What Makes Eating Instant Noodles So Bad?

,, streetzgossips
A majority of the population of the world considers instant noodles a staple food, like the well-loved rice in Asian countries. For many people out there, preparing these takes less than a minute or two, thus, making it easy for students, full-time parents and workers to make something that does not require too much effort.
However, what goes unnoticed in eating instant noodles are its risks. Even though there exist common myths like adding vegetables to a cup of instant noodles to enhance the nutritional value, the problems that these can cause is something that cannot be remedied by raw foods. That said, here a few reasons why eating instant noodles can be bad for one’s health.
1. Difficulty in digesting them
Instant noodles can strain the digestive system, pushing it to break down highly processed noodles for hours. This can disrupt a person’s blood sugar levels and insulin release if consumed too quickly. Instant noodles encourage slow digestion, frequent intake of preservatives and other toxic chemicals. In the long run, these can lead to an over-exposure of butylated hydroxyanisole and t-butyl hydroquinone , two chemicals that are commonly used in products to prolong shelf life. These two can cause anxiety, asthma and diarrhea.
2. Risk of heart disease
In a previous study conducted by the Journal of Nutrition, it was revealed that people who consumed an immoderate amount of instant noodles had a higher risk of metabolic syndrome, a set of symptoms including having elevated blood pressure, low levels of HDL cholesterol and higher chances of heart disease, diabetes and stroke.
3. Contains a high amount of salt
It comes as no surprise that instant noodles contain an excessive amount of salt, which can affect the overall health of a person.

An egg a day could help your child grow bigger, taller

Is egg for kids good on a daily basis? As a mum of a little egg lover, I’ve always wondered if my seven-year-old’s love for eggs might not be so good for his health in the long run.
This is why I researched on the matter and wrote this article about egg for kids, a few years ago. In essence, an egg a day is just fine for your child.
But very recent research now claims en egg a day is more than just fine . Egg for kids can actually help them grow taller and bigger.
The study
The study, “Eggs in Complementary Feeding and Growth,” was published online June 6 in the journal Pediatrics .
Lora Iannotti, lead author of the study, is also a leading expert on child nutrition at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis.
In 2015, Iannotti and her team conducted a randomized, controlled trial in Ecuador. In the study, 160 babies aged six to nine months were give a egg daily, for six months. They also received less sugar-sweetened food. A control group with kids the same age did not receive a daily egg.
The research team monitored the youngsters for any problems, such as allergic reaction to eggs. They also made sure the families were following the research plan.
The results
In some pretty amazing results, the research showed that eggs significantly increased length-for-age and weight-for-age scores in the group of kids who ate them.
In fact, eggs increased growth and reduced stunting by an incredible 47 percent.
“We were surprised by just how effective this intervention proved to be,” Iannotti said. “The size of the effect was 0.63 compared to the 0.39 global average.”
Egg for kids: Importance of good nutrition
Given that the first two years of a child’s life are crucial for their growth and development (stunting within this age range is irreversible), the result of this study are certainly valuable.
Eggs are cheap, tasty and they are essential in a large range of recipes. And even if a young child going through a fussy phase were only to eat an egg for one meal, this would still give him a good range of nutrients such as:
Choline: for brain development, function and memory;
Folate: produces and maintains red blood cells;
Iron: carries oxygen to the cells;
Lutein and Zeaxanthin: maintain good vision and protect the eyes against harmful UV rays;
Niacin: promotes normal nerve function and helps release energy;
Omega-3 fats: improve blood cholesterol;
Protein: helps keep body strong;
Vitamin A: protects against cancers;
Vitamin B12: protects against heart disease;
Riboflavin: helps keep body tissues healthy;
Vitamin D: keeps bones and teeth healthy;
Vitamin E: acts as an antioxidant;
Zinc: promotes a strong immune system.
Having said this, it’s important to remember that little ones need a balanced diet and adding an egg as a complementary food to a well-rounded diet can certainly benefit a child in many ways.
The British Nutrition Foundation advises: “While eggs are a nutritious food to include, it’s very important that young children have a variety of foods in their diets. Not only is this necessary to get all the vitamins and minerals they need, but also to allow them to become familiar with a wide range of tastes and textures.
“A range of protein-rich foods should be provided when feeding young children, which can include eggs but can also feature beans, pulses, fish, especially oily fish, meat and dairy products.”
If you are concerned about egg allergies , monitor your child well when you first introduce eggs to his diet.
Also keep these eggy hygiene tips in mind:
Be sure to eat fresh eggs with shells intact.
Wash the outside of the egg shell before you crack it.
While it is recommended not to give soft-boiled eggs to children, pasteurised eggs are the better option.

Here Are The Most Dangerous Cities To Live In Nigeria

Everyone living in different cities in Nigeria definitely have a thing or two to complain about their city, it's either they are complaining about traffic, infrastructures, roads, energy, commercial establishments, high crime rate, pollutions and so on. In a major city like Lagos, everyone living in the urban and rural areas have one particular complain, which is traffic (this is as a result of limited road network and so many people in the city), while some people living in the same Lagos, Have their major complain to be poor drainage system (which lead to flooded areas during the rainy season) and power failure. But to me, that doesn’t really make Lagos the worst place to live in, what scared me about Lagos was it's crime rate which increased in the last 5 years but now it's reduced, and there's a consoling factor for people living in Lagos, which is "opportunities".
I have traveled to over 13 states in Nigeria and lived in over 10 cities and with all I’ve seen in my little travel adventure I can boldly say Lagos, Enugu, Calabar, and some parts of Abuja are livable. But the cities I would never advice any to live in is Port-Harcourt, Umuahia, Yenagoa.
It’s painful when a city has almost all that is listed above, starting with Umuahia, because in the real sense, you’d get to Umuahia before port-Harcourt. Umuahia is one state that I’ll not advise anyone to live in, though you can run your business there but living there is something that’s not too much of a good idea. In umuahia can boldly say there are just 6 production companies, which I’m sure by now some of them, would have been locked down.
Umuahia the capital city of Abia State in southeastern Nigeria, is a city with very little commercial establishments, poor roads, low infrastructure, and high crime rate in some of the aba area, even with the fact that they produce locally made product, they still have a long way to go.
In Aba the prevalent crimes in the city are stealing, kidnapping, murder, robbery, assault, occasional harm, grievous harm and burglary. I remember living in Amaoba part of umuahia, a village not too far from akwa ibom, and the first day I made a short trip to akwa ibom without taking away my valuable from the house I rented, I was burgled, then the neighbors told me that it’s no longer news when someone gets burgled. That aside, Umuahia has limited infrastructures; it wasn’t until 2017 when the government installed its first shopping mall. Secondly the roads in the city are nothing to write home about, that’s why everywhere in the city looks like shit when it’s rainy season.
Port-Harcourt on the other hand, is the worst city I’ll ever advise even my enemy to live in, over there People get robbed in front of police and nothing happens, which baffles me. The other day I was in port-harcourt I went to port-harcourt zoo with a couple of friends in the city, while in the zoo, we tried to go see the lion’s den, and when we got there, looking at the den, about 3 guys came towards our stand and requested for our phones in broad-daylight, when my friend tried to prove stubborn they shot into the air, and we succumbed to them, immediately they ran out we ran after them, screaming thief! And we met with the security guard in-charge of the zoo, he pretend like he was going to get them, only for him to come back saying them don run go far, don’t worry, them go come again. But that’s not my only reason for saying port-harcourt is the worst place to live in; In Port-harcourt every living thing has a taste for blood and Violence. The crime rate in port-Harcourt is increasingly alarming. The rate of cultist is at it's peak in port harcourt.

So, here it is – your wishes about to come true. This British couple is ready to pay you £32,000, which is more than ₹29 lakh in Indian currency. All you have to do is give your love to their two adorable golden retrievers! And, and – It’s in London, baby!

In our country, pet-sitting and care taker jobs are often shamed upon. But who the hell gives a damn about log kya kahengey when you get to go to London and live in a – larger than life itself – home. To top this, you also get Rs. 29,00,000 as a remuneration. Remuneration for what? Surround yourself with two golden puppies named Milo and Oscar while their parents are travelling for work. Okay, we will take it.
