Wife of the Kogi State Governor, Barrister Amina Yahaya Bello has revealed the many evils meted out to physically challenged children in the society.
Founder of the Hayat Foundation, Barrister Bello, who desires to create a haven for physically challenged children, confessed she was advised to kill her son who suffers from cerebral palsy.
With stigmatization from friends and some family members who mocked her for having a son who has cerebral palsy, Bello confessed she was advised to inject her son with a lethal substance to end the insults.
She said, “There is the stigma which starts from your immediate environment. People will be whispering when a child with special needs or his parents are around. This has made a lot of parents to live in depression. This is the reason why some parents choose to live in denial and lock up such children. I was advised to inject my son with harmful substance and some people advised me to take him to the village.”
Urging government (states and federal) to enforce the provision of wheelchairs for physically challenged children, Bello said the Hayat Foundation will establish an institute that will focus on severe cases of cerebral palsy and open a training centre for behavioural and occupational therapists.
Also, she called on government to make it compulsory for schools to provide wheelchairs for affected kids.
“Schools which discriminate against children who are living with physical and developmental challenges should be shut down. Before you set up a school, it must be accessible to these children with special needs. You must have special teachers or therapists in every class and of course you should be certified fit to open a school for special needs children,” she said.
According to scientists no matter whether you like it or not, smelling your partner’s farts will amazingly make you live longer. Yes you read that right, a research team at the University of Exeter have discovered it is good for you to inhale your partner’s stinky farts as the gases in them can combat diseases.
So if you catch your partner eyeing you up weirdly tonight in bed, just sitting there waiting, you know why. The study, published in the journal Medicinal Chemistry Communications, analysed the impact of the gas hydrogen sulfide which humans produce in small amounts.
Although it was found to be noxious in large doses, researchers discovered that cellular exposure to small amounts of the gas can prevent mitochondrial damage which has many health implications.
One of the researchers, Dr. Mark Wood, said:
Although hydrogen sulfide is well known as a pungent, foul-smelling gas in rotten eggs and flatulence, it is naturally produced in the body and could in fact be a healthcare hero. Surprisingly the gas in farts can actually reduce the risk of several life threatening illnesses including cancer, stroke and heart attacks.
According to researchers, it has also been proven to prevent arthritis and dementia in old age. Creating a new compound know as AP39, the team at the University believe this can hold the key to future therapies as it ensures that the body retains and produces the right amount of hydrogen sulfide.
Researchers claim that this compound can be delivered to targeted cells in the body and placed inside. Professor Matt Whiteman, from the university’s medical school, added: When cells become stressed by disease, they draw in enzymes to generate minute quantities of hydrogen sulfide. This keeps the mitochondria ticking over and allows cells to live. If this doesn’t happen, the cells die and lose the ability to regulate survival and control inflammation.
We have exploited this natural process by making a compound, called AP39, which slowly delivers very small amounts of this gas specifically to the mitochondria. Our results indicate that if stressed cells are treated with AP39, mitochondria are protected and cells stay alive. According to the scientists the research has shown that if AP39 is administered, in models of cardiovascular disease 80 percent of the heart’s mitochondria cells survive under highly destructive conditions.
Early results also that show that AP39 can help to lower high blood pressure and also dramatically improve the chances of survival after a heart attack by slowing the heartbeat making it more efficient. The team are now working towards testing the compound in humans. This research is interesting but of course in its early stages with no real conclusions being made. However, next time your partner has a go at your for farting, just tell them you are doing it out of the kindness of your heart.

I paid and the whole thing started from there.

A nine-year-old girl lives in constant pain with a rare condition that means her neck is permanently bent at a 90 degree angle.
Afsheen Qumbar has a muscular disorder which means she cannot keep her head upright. She cannot stand or walk properly and is restricted to a sitting position.
The young girl from Mithi in Pakistan’s Singh province even needs help to eat and use the toilet.
Her father Allah Jurio, 55, and mother Jameelan, 50, say they have consulted several doctors but have been told that treatment for such a condition is not available in Mithi.
Jameelan said: “It is devastating to see my daughter like this. I cannot see her suffer anymore. Afsheen was born a normal baby like her six other siblings but her life changed after she reached the age of eight months.
“When she was eight months old, she fell on ground while playing outside the house and got her neck hurt.
“We ignored her condition initially and due to lack of money we used to take her to a local faith healer but her condition never improved.
“As she grow older, her problems became complicated. She isn’t able to keep her head upright at all and often complains of pain in the neck.
Jurio said: “People say bad things about our daughter. They often laugh at her. It really hurts us.
“We cannot tolerate people’s attitudes and discrimination.
“People avoid her sight so we keep her at home. We want her to study but no one will accept her in school.”
Doctors believe Afsheen suffers from a rare case of muscular disorder or anomaly in spine but suggest only a thorough examination can reveal the cause.
Afsheen’s desperate parents plead for help from the Pakistan government.
Irregular menstruation as well as a too constant one might be a sign of infertility in the nearest future, so women have been advised to watch out.
Your feelings about having kids might be not right now or far in the future or not ever. Or maybe you absolutely know you want to get pregnant and soon.
Either way, it’s really necessary to understand the signs of infertility, because it may commonly indicate a much worse problem that can affect your overall wellbeing, whether kids are your goal or not.
And if you believe there’s something wrong, listen to your body. Talk to your doctor whether you want to get pregnant or not. Health This Moment compiled a list that will give you more information, though you should always talk to your doctor in person but it does tell you some of the biggest signs that should alert you and let you know it’s time to make an appointment with your he doctor.
1. You Feel More Pain Than Usual When Menstruating
You should know this, if you have to clear your calendar when its your time of the month because you know you’ll be in bed writhing in agony, it may be a sign of endometriosis.
We’re not talking a little pain here and there, but so much pain that it affects the way you live your life. You can’t go to your place of work or do the your social norms.
The ailment, which happens when the lining of your uterus (endometrial tissue) grows outside of it, affects up to half of infertile women, according to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
Hormonal birth control pills is one way to treat it. Talk to your doctor if period pain is messing with your ability to live your way of life, no matter how many years you have lived with it, do not think it is normal.
2. Your Hands and Feet are Always Cold
If your hands and feet are constantly cold, wearing gloves and fuzzy socks won't solve the problem.
The problem is with your thyroid hormonal levels checked, you need to get it checked. Cold feet and hands is one common sign of hypothyroidism (or an underactive thyroid gland).
This can lead to inconsistent ovulation and affect your menstrual cycle. A blood test will tell your doctor if your levels are normal.
Other signs include constipation, forgetfulness, dry skin, and being tired often.
3. Your Period is MIA - or Constant
This can be a sign of what is medically called “ovulatory dysfunction.” Your ovary has to release an egg in order to be fertilized, and if you’re not ovulating at all, you won’t get your period.
If you have cycles that are longer than every 35 days, you should get checked out, as well as if your period is MIA altogether.
Also, be alert if you get your period too frequently—that’s every 21 days or less—because it may be another sign of an ovulation problem.
4. Your Tips are Leaking
If you’re not pregnant or breastfeeding, your Tips should be dry. If they are leaking fluid, it may be a sign of a condition called hyperprolactinemia, which means that your body is producing too much of the breastfeeding hormone prolactin.
Causes can range from thyroid problems to medications to a (normally) benign tumor on your pituitary gland.
When prolactin levels are high, it affects your hormonal balance and may tell your ovaries to go on hiatus. A simple blood test can ID this problem, and medications can treat most cases.
5. You’re Very Overweight
If your BMI is 30 to 40, you qualify as obese, which can affect your fertility, according to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
They note that obesity is the cause of six percent of infertility. Reproductive hormones can be stored in body fat and mess with the area of your brain that tells your ovaries it’s go-time.
So if you’re trying for a baby or know you will be in the next several years, talk to your home doctor if you’re concerned that your weight could lower your odds of conceiving.
6. You’re Sprouting Facial Hair
Hair growing profusely in places you wouldn’t expect (like your face), or losing it in surprising places (like your head) are major symptoms of PCOS, or polycystic ovary syndrome (it’s also marked by acne and inconsistent periods).
The condition means your reproductive hormones are out of whack, which can impair your ovaries’ ability to release an egg.
“PCOS is one of the most common, but treatable causes of infertility in women,” according to Womenshealth.gov. Meds like birth control can help manage the condition, as can reaching a healthy weight.
7. You Have a History of Gonorrhea
This common s*xually transmitted disease can come with a few symptoms: burning while you pee, an abnormal amount of vaginal discharge, and bleeding mid-cycle.
But, unfortunately, according to the CDC, most women don’t have symptoms. The STD can lead to pelvic pain, infertility, and cause scar tissue that blocks fallopian tubes, which prevents the egg and sperm from meeting in the first place.
If your doctor doesn’t mention screening for gonorrhea during your annual appointment, and you’re worried you might be at risk, be sure to ask to be tested

37-year-old Abubakar Suleiman was arrested by the Niger State Police Command, after he took 88 bundles of $100 dollars fake currency to one Engineer Abdullahi Sambo of Shango area in Minna.
Suleiman who claimed he doesn’t know the real owner of the money, however said that he was directed to give it to Engineer Sambo.
The State’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abigail Unaeze, who confirmed Suleiman’s arrest following a complaint lodged by Mamman Manya, one of the relatives of Sambo to the Chanchaga Police Division.

The people promised to help me financially. When I got to Minna, I went to Sambo’s house, on getting there, his relatives called the police that I brought take notes for their father.”
When asked what the money was meant for.

I was doing what I was sent, However all effort to call reach Khalifa proved abortive, as he no longer picks his calls
There's no shortage of pickup-truck choices in the US, but when most people think "pickup," one vehicle comes to mind: the Ford F-150.
Ford is basically printing money with the redesigned F-Series.
The carmaker could sell nearly a million of the vehicle in 2017.
It's been the bestselling vehicle in the US for decades.
There's no shortage of pickup-truck choices in the US, but when most people think "pickup," one vehicle comes to mind: the Ford F-150.
The F-150 is part of Ford's F-Series, consisting also of the F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty pickups; and there's a high-performance variant of the F-150, the Raptor.
The first F-Series arrived back in 1948 and was basically a work truck. Ever since the early 1980s, the F-150 hasn't just been popular — it's been America's bestselling vehicle every single year.
At Ford, there is no product that's more central to the business than the F-Series, so the redesign was a major risk. But it has paid off: Ford posted robust third-quarter earnings this week, and the F-Series led the way, with an average transaction price of $45,500, an increase of more than $3,000 from last year.
The truck is going to bring a ridiculous amount of cash into Ford's already cash-rich coffers; CFO Bob Shanks told Business Insider in an interview that the carmaker expected another year in 2017 with a US sales pace of over 17 million vehicles. Nearly a million could be F-Series.
We've reviewed several F-Series over the years, so here's a closer look at the king of pickups.
We sampled the new F-150, aluminum edition, back in 2015. You can get the base XL, an old-school work truck, for under $30,000.
Here's the thing about Ford pickups: the profit margins are almost stupid. We're talking over $10,000 on average, and given that many owners choose costly trim levels and option up their trucks, the F-Series functions like a license to print money for Ford.
There was some concern initially that the aluminum construction wouldn't be Ford tough, but truck owners appear to pretty satisfied.
In 2017, Ford even rolled out a "pursuit rated" police version of the F-150.
The new truck can hit 100 mph, with its turbocharged V6 serving up 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque – "more than any other pursuit-rated police vehicle," Ford said in a statement when the vehicle was revealed in 2017.
Ford is justifiably proud of the mighty F-Series, the ultimate bragging-rights product.
The F-Series is always prominent at global auto shows — a symbol of Ford's success.
There's even a high-performance version — the Raptor. We were blown away by this truck.
The Super Duty followed the F-150 in being aluminum-ized. This massive vehicle filled the driveway of our suburban New Jersey test center for a week. It was astounding.
The Super Duty doesn't mess around. This is a pickup that's intended to tow seriously heavy loads. Like six F-150s.
Read about how Ford designed the new Super Duty so that owners could "run it to failure."
The lowest trim level is the F-250, moving up through F-350 and F-450 models. The prices start at just above $30,000 and top out at almost $80,000 for the Platinum F-450. Engines are huge, and they come in numerous gas and diesel versions. One V8-diesel option offers 925 pound-feet of towing torque, which is probably enough to adjust the orbit of the moon if you could get it hooked up.
Completely maxed out towing, at the limits of the Super Duty’s capacity, is 32,500 pounds — over 16 tons.It could haul more than six F-150s behind it.
It's impossible to not be impressed by the F-Series. Yes, there are other pickups. But there's still only one King.
It is no longer news that young Nigerian men tie the knot with their American or British women, who might be older them in. the weddings are usually done in Nigeria.
Such was the case of this handsome young Nigerian man Seun, who walked down the aisle with his older US-based British lover in Ekiti state.
According to reports, the couple met on Facebook and gradually they started their love affair. They dated on the social media network for a while before tied the knot in Nigeria.
The traditional wedding took place in Ekiti state and the joyous moment was witnessed by family and friends of the couple. They dressed in white and blue traditional attires as the Oyinbo bride was looking beautiful.
For their white wedding which also took place in Ekiti state, the bride could be seen in her sleeveless white wedding gown while the groom rocked a black suite with blue bow tie.
However, quite a number of Nigerians have tied the knot with spouses from different countries all around the world and they seem to be enjoying their union.
In 1997, Kenny and Bobbi McCaughey of Iowa had one daughter named Mikayla when they decided it was time for her to have a sibling.
The couple turned to fertility drugs after struggling to conceive Mikayla. But when they went in for an ultrasound, doctors saw not one… not two… but seven little heartbeats! Yes, Bobbi was pregnant with septuplets.
Though no set of septuplets had ever survived before, Bobbi and Kenny decided not to reduce the number of embryos. Instead, they wanted to “leave it in God’s hands.”
On November 19th, 1997, Bobbi safely delivered all seven miracle babies — four boys and three girls — nine weeks early.
The babies became instant media stars, but by the time they turned 10 years old in 2007, the family was declining most requests for interviews.
That’s why the video below from “Oprah: Where Are They Now?” is such a treat. Viewers get a rare glimpse into the lives of the famous McCaughey Septuplets as they approach their 18th birthday as the world’s first set of adult septuplets
Nigerian heartthrob Yul Edochie was incredibly secretive about his personal life at the beginning of his career. However, in the recent years, the actor has been opening up and sharing some sneak peeks of his wife and kids. We've decided to compile all the available information about Yul Edochie wife and daughter (as well as her younger brothers), so that you can get to know your favourite actor a little better through his family.
Who is Yul Edochie?
Let us remind you a little bit about who Yul Edochie is. This well-known Nigerian actor was born on January 7, 1982 in Lagos, Nigeria. Yul is the sixth child of Josephine and Pete Edochie, another famous Nollywood actor.
Despite the fact that his father has always been very famous and respected, Yul wanted to achieve everything on his own. He left his parents’ home to receive higher education at the University of Port Harcourt, where he studied Dramatic Arts. After that, he set out to become a Nollywood star.
These days, we can certainly say that Yul has achieved what he wanted and more. He is a successful actor, head of an acting academy named after him and even a gubernatorial candidate for Anambra State. However, we are also quite sure that he would not have been able to reach these heights without his family. Let’s talk about Yul Edochie family and how they all make each other better.
Yul Edochie wife
To all those asking ‘Is Yul Edochie married?’, let us inform you, that he is in fact married. You might not believe it, but Yul met his wife a very long time ago. And by ‘long time’ we mean almost twenty years ago! The two met in 1998, when Yul was attending the university, and they have not separated since. In 2004, they got married, which only made their relationship stronger.
You are probably wondering:
Who is this woman who has kept one of the most desired men in Nollywood by her side all these years? Well, her name is May, although she also goes by Mary. Before she met Yul, she used to be May Aligwe. Today, she uses the name May Yul-Edochie, which shows how totally devoted she is to her husband.
From her page on Facebook (facebook.com/mary.yuledochie) and her Instagram (@mayyuledochie), we have been able to gather that she was born on September 28 (year of birth unknown). She attended the Airforce secondary school in Ikeja and the Enugu State University of Science and Technology.
From her husband’s interviews, we know that she works in the sphere of computer engineering and even has her own business. If her Facebook page is anything to go by, then the name of her company is DKK Investments, where she is the CEO.
But what about her marriage?
When it comes to her relationship with Yul, it seems like May is the definition of a perfect wife. When the two met for the first time, Yul had virtually nothing. However, May did not care about his wealth, which was why she has stayed with him through thick and thin and helped him to get his life back on track.
May has always supported him with words and actions and she continues to do so now that her husband is running for governor. On her Instagram, May posts photos and videos of his campaign, and it is obvious that she does all she can to stand by her husband.
This love and support are not one-sided. Even though Yul does not like to talk much about his personal life, he always says that marrying his wife at 22 is the best decision he has ever made.
Here is a cute little fact for you:
In 2012, on February 14, the most romantic holiday of all, Yul went all out with the gift for his wife. Instead of just getting her a bunch of red roses, he bought her a brand new red Toyota!
Yul often praises May for being very understanding when it comes to his sometimes crazed fans or other perils of being a famous actor. He swears that he has never looked at another person the same way he does at his wife, and that nobody could ever tempt him to cheat on May.
Yul and May have been together for quite a while, and as a result of that they now have three beautiful children, one of whom we will pay special attention to.
Yul Edochie daughter
The eldest child of Yul and May is their daughter Dani. She was born on April 14, 2005, merely a year after her parents got married. From what we have seen on her parents’ Instagram pages, she has a regular childhood, albeit just a little fancier than that of any other child.
But here is the thing:
When she was born, her parents were barely able to afford the hospital bills. Right at that time, Yul hit a rough patch in his life, but, thanks to his loving family, he was able to get back on his feet and give his loved ones what they deserved. When it was Dani’s first day of secondary school, Yul got very emotional in one of his posts, and it was very touching to see how much she meant to him.
So far, Dani has not yet publicly expressed her thoughts on who she wants to be when she grows up. However, she already has an endorsement deal, even though she is only twelve years old. She and her father are promoting a line of electronics (smart watches and tablets) for kids from the brand called Ninos that allow parents to know about their children’s location.
Here is another fact for you:
In case you did not know, Dani is not the only child in the family. She has two younger brothers, Karl and Kambi. The boys look like they are about 9-10 years old, but neither Yul nor May have ever said anything about their ages.
Now you know a little bit more about Yul Edochie and family. It is not much, but that is all he is comfortable sharing with the public, so we should respect his boundaries. Nevertheless, we sure are glad to see that Yul is happy, as he is surrounded by such wonderful and loving people. God bless him and his family.
