9 Things That Will Make People Instantly Dislike You

While we shouldn’t necessarily judge people by first impressions , the truth is that we often do. Most people can tell right away whether or not they like someone, but there are some things that make people decide
you’re a bad egg , according to The Independent. Are you guilty of any of these things?
1. NERVOUS SWEATING
While you can’t necessarily help sweating if you’re nervous or anxious about a situation, research has shown that the smell of that sweat isn’t all that appealing to people. Research performed by the Monell Chemical Senses Center in 2013 perhaps unsurprisingly found that people who smell like B.O. are rated as less likable, trustworthy, and competent than those who are at least wearing deodorant.
2. POSTING PROFILE PHOTOS THAT ARE TOO CLOSE-UP
It sounds weird but science suggests this might be true. Profile photos taken at a distance of 1.5 feet away are rated way lower than those taken about 4.5 feet away. This is likely because photos taken from further away allow the person looking at the pictures to see more of you and your surroundings, whereas close-up photos can be fake and/or offer little context.
3. SPONSORED: THE BEST DATING/RELATIONSHIPS ADVICE ON THE WEB.

4. TELLING PEOPLE TMI WHEN YOU BARELY KNOW THEM
Is there anything worse than an over-sharer? Sure, you want to be open and honest with someone when you’re getting to know them, but they don’t need to know that you get six yeast infections a year or that you once had a threesome with your cousin’s best friend and your high school cheerleading coach. Keep the details to yourself for a bit, maybe (or forever).
5. PRETENDING LIKE YOU HAVE NO EMOTIONS/PLAYING IT TOO COOL
It’s always tempting to be the “cool” friend, girlfriend, colleague, etc. You want to seem like you have it together and that you’re bossing it in life even if you feel like a mess, right? Well, this may be working against you. Research has shown that people who suppress their emotions are way less likable than those who just say how they feel (within reason, of course).
6. SHARING TOO MANY PICS ON FACEBOOK
There’s a difference between uploading a few shots from your birthday party and loading up four differently themed albums from the occasion with hundreds of photos each.
7. HUMBLEBRAGGING
This is somewhat self-explanatory: no one likes someone who pretends to display humility by subtly mentioning just how great they think they are. It’s tacky, it’s incredibly obvious, and it will make people dislike you, end of.
8. HAVING TOO MANY OR TOO FEW FRIENDS ON FACEBOOK
A 2008 study showed that having about 300 friends on Facebook seemed to be just the right amount to make people think you’re pretty cool. Those with fewer than 100 friends were rated just as unlikable as those with more than 300. Why is having too many friends a bad thing? “Individuals with too many friends may appear to be focusing too much on Facebook, friending out of desperation rather than popularity,” the study found.
9. BEING TOO NICE
There’s a difference between being kind and courteous and kissing people’s butts because you’re desperate to be liked or you’re a pushover. Being too nice is also likely to make people second-guess your motives and wonder if maybe you’re being fake, which is never a good thing. Yes, you should treat people with respect and be friendly, but going overboard isn’t good for anyone.
10. ASKING TONS ABOUT SOMEONE BUT SHARING NOTHING ABOUT YOURSELF
Research performed by Susan Sprecher found that while a willingness to share things about yourself is a good way to get close to someone, it has to be mutual. “Although shy or socially anxious people may ask questions of the other to detract attention from themselves, our research shows that this is not a good strategy for relationship initiation,” the study said. “Both participants in an interaction need to disclose to generate mutual closeness and liking.”

10 important Life Lessons No One Can Live Without

In this life, there is much to teach and be taught, and we are constantly learning a variety of life lessons. We all have a limited time on this earth, so going through tough times helps to keep things in perspective, because as they say, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” Certain experiences, such as going through a divorce or losing someone close to us, help give us a thicker skin and learn to value life much more.

“…especially so with regards to the current generation, where we often look to rush things to completion as quickly as possible. Life is long, and although it feels as though time passes so quickly, it is important to remember the long road ahead. Do not waste the precious time you have worrying about how to get somewhere within a specified amount of time. Slowly but surely, you will get there. If all you have to look back on is a blur, it wasn’t a life well-lived.”

“Just as your body responds well to a healthy lifestyle, so too does your mind. In order to reach the top performance of mind and body, it is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The better condition you are in, the more you can accomplish. Not just physically, but mentally. If you need that day off, take it. What many people fail to realize is that any kind of pain or suffering you are going through is just as harmful to your being mentally as it is physically?”

“On a journey, the best way to figure out your direction is to establish your goal, not the means. Just like traveling, it is far easier to pick a destination and then decide between traveling by bus, plane, or car than if you had just wanted to go on vacation with no set destination.”

“There is something about being childish that gives the purest feeling of freedom. Your upbringing has taught you to dress, behave, and live in a particular way. Sometimes this can be a limited way of thinking that hinders your mind; you do not think as openly and freely as you used to. Allow yourself to be childish occasionally. Because as a child, the entire world was so new to you. Your rewards and consequences, your excitement on learning and trying new things. The limitations of this world weren’t holding you back. You were free to grow however you chose to.”

“It is an excellent way to increase productivity and benefit you without feeling like a waste of time. If there is something you always considered useful, try learning it. If you set a time for yourself every day to learn something new, you will go to bed with the affirmative feeling of accomplishment and that you are positively sticking to a routine that will only better yourself.”

“Many people go through life having interests, and do nothing with it. A real shame, since many eminent individuals throughout history accomplished great things by diving into their interests. If nothing else, learning about what interests you can make you that much more of a knowledgeable person.”

“As a child, I could never imagine why someone would willingly leave their bed early when there was no work to be done. Yet every morning, my father would get up in the hour of sunrise and leave the house. After my teenage years, it dawned on me that my father had simply loved having more time in his day to do things … More time in your day gives you more time to get something done!”

“An extremely common piece of advice notorious for its vagueness. The focus of this is to encourage the sheltered to break free and see what they are capable of. It is quite the shock to see how miserably hopeless or pleasantly capable people can be. By pushing yourself out of your natural element, you can discover just how well-equipped you are to take on the unfamiliar monsters of the world.”

“Growing up and the culture around you both in and outside your home will always have a lasting impression of your behavior. The world is filled both with people who think they are better and people who think they are worse than others. Never become one of those that look down on others. A problem with life is that we live it thinking we are the main character of the story – and we are, to an extent.

We are the main character of our story; the problem is that there are seven billion others writing a similar story called life. Never forget that every single person has a life and have made decisions that ultimately put them where they are today. They are not just support characters to your main story; they are their own protagonists and don’t deserve being looked down on by anyone.”

“Aiming for the title of ‘best’ in what you love doing is as admirable as it is vague. To truly become the best, one should strive to be acknowledged as an expert in what they love doing. Consolidating your interests into a set topic to excel in is a step forward in the path of success. Just as Olympic athletes compete to win the gold and nothing else, so too should you compete in order to be an expert in what you enjoy. You’ll only ever be as good as the effort you put in.”

“The picture of life is painted as the greatest experience one could have, along with the most difficult. It is strange to think that something so enjoyable could ever be difficult, much less the most difficult. Rather than that, I believe it is the difficulty of life that gives us appreciation for what comes after we climb up the hill.

When faced with the trials and tribulations that will inevitably come, it is important to keep your thoughts on the silver lining; the light in the darkness. One cannot exist without the other, just as shadows cannot exist without light. There are always two sides to the coin, and you should always obligate yourself to find the better part of something horrible; true silver linings

Things to do to see God face to face.

AS we grow in our prayer lives, we develop a strong inward push for more of God. He becomes our obsession. The more we get to know Him, the more we want to be with Him, and the more we want to experience. To want more of God is natural for every believer. The Bible says, as a deer pants for water, so our souls long for God (Psalm 42:1). He is the destination we are always pursuing.

With that in mind, I wanted to get very practical today. One of the most visited articles on this site is the Importance of Seeking God’s Face. As I was thinking about this, I thought it would be helpful to talk more on how to see God face to face.

Know that God Wants You to See His Face

The pursuit to see God’s face is pointless if He doesn’t want this for you. This is why I spent last week going over does God want us to see His face. I encourage you to look back at the post if you doubt, but just know that not only does God want it, He longs for it. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and seek my face… (2 Chronicles 7:14)”. God wants His people to pursue Him. He longs for our intimacy. Jesus came to bring reconciliation between God and man, so that nothing would hinder us from being with Him.

Know that We Can See God’s Face

I think this is probably the greatest hindrance to seeing God’s face; we don’t think we can. We may see ourselves as unimportant or think God is too holy, but these are just lies from the enemy to keep God’s treasure away from Him. Do you know what Jesus’ reward was for His suffering? It was to bring you and me into the presence of God (1 Peter 3:18). To deny your ability to see God’s face is to either state your lack of faith in Jesus’ atonement for you or to belittle the work of the cross on your alienation from God.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. – Hebrews 10:19-22

Seek His Face

We can theorize about whether God wants us to see His face or whether we have the ability, but it is most assuredly not going to happen if we don’t seek Him. Let’s make a decisive effort to seek God’s face (Psalm 27:8). This will take time set aside from other things. It is actively being still and focusing your mind (Psalm 46:10). Here are a few other helpful tips:

Journal Without Judging

Even if we agree we can see God’s face, we still often question whether what we see is from Him or not. We are fearful of being led astray or deceiving ourselves. I am not suggesting coming up with new doctrines or making life altering decisions, just trust God. It is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6), so at some point in our lives we will need to take a risk into the unknown with Him.

Journaling is a great safety net. Ask God to lead your time, and then by faith just write what comes to your mind. Then you can write for as long as God give you something without stopping to think if it was from God or not. Enjoy the experience then you can go back later to pray through what you wrote to see if it was from God or not. You can ask, did what I write contradict Scripture, or did it move me away from love of God or others. If you answer yes to either, mark that part out. If you have too many parts marked out, jump to the next section.

Pray With a Trusted Friend

Jesus said, “where two or three are gathered in My name, there I am with them” (Matthew 18:20). There really is something to this. The presence of another believer praying with you opens heaven’s door a little wider. Share with this person what you are sensing without judging it. If it is someone you trust, they will not be judging you but wanting you to get the breakthrough for which you are looking.

Just tell this friend to listen and ask questions if you get stuck. Generally sticking points are tied to something that God wants to do that we don’t feel like He would do or something we feel is unimportant. Just go with it and then you can process it with your friend afterwards

11 Simple Ways to Improve Your Memory

1. Concentrate for 8 Seconds.
These days we’re all about things being faster. That’s why this advice is invaluable: When you really need to remember something, concentrate on it for at least 8 seconds. That can seem like a long time when you're running around trying to get a million things done, but it is worth it. Studies have shown that 8 seconds is the minimum amount of time it takes for a piece of information to go from your short-term memory to your long-term memory.
2. Don’t Walk Through a Doorway.
We’ve all walked into a room and suddenly realized we can’t remember why we needed to be there in the first place. Don’t worry, you’re not getting more forgetful—chances are it was the act of walking through a doorway that made you go completely blank. Researchers found that participants in both virtual and real-world studies were far more likely to forget what object they had just placed in a container if they were asked right after walking through a doorway than if they carried the object the same distance in a single room. Scientists have yet to figure out why, but something about entering a new place seems to restart our memory.
3. Make a Fist.
If you’re having trouble remembering things at work, get a stress ball. The act of clenching your fist, if done correctly, can significantly improve your ability to recall information. Studies show that if you are right-handed, you should make a fist with your right hand before you try to memorize a piece of information. Then when you need to remember it, clench your left hand (the process is reversed for lefties.) Be sure to hold that position for a little while though; the study that discovered this had the participants squeezing for a good 45 seconds before letting go.
4. Exercise.
At this point we should just accept it that science considers exercise the cure for absolutely any problem, and memory is no different. The physical act increases alertness and oxygen supply to the brain, and may even increase cell growth in the parts of your brain responsible for memory. One study found that right after light exercise, women were able to recall things better than they could before working up a sweat. And while a quick jog can help you out right now, it is even more effective over the long term. A different study found that women who kept fit over six months significantly improved both their verbal and spatial memory.
5. Sleep.
At some point in high school or college, almost everyone has tried to pull an all-nighter before a big test (or so pop culture would have us believe). But even if you left your cramming until almost the last minute, it is more beneficial to get a good night’s sleep than to study until dawn. Studies have found that the processes your brain goes through while you're asleep actually help you remember information better the next day. Your brain is bombarded with stimuli when you’re awake, and it uses the time you are asleep to process everything. That's when it gets rid of unnecessary information and doubles down on remembering important things, like all that stuff in your biology textbook. Sleep is when it consolidates that information into a long-term memory. If you stay awake, your brain can’t go through this process.
6. Use Crazy Fonts.
We’re all font snobs to some extent. When it comes to books, newspapers, or the internet, we want everything to be clear and easy to read. But researchers have discovered that one of the best ways to remember something you’ve read is to read it in a weird font. The size and boldness makes no difference, although the harder it is to read, the better. When something is unfamiliar and difficult to read, you are forced to concentrate on it more, allowing you to remember it easier.
Large, bold fonts may actually hurt your ability to remember, as studies found that when asked to memorize a list of words, people predicted they would recall bold words easier than non-bold words, and therefore studied them less, leading to the opposite result.
7. Chew Gum.
If you need to remember a piece of information for around 30 minutes, try chewing gum. Studies have found that people do better on both visual and audio memory tasks if they are chewing gum while they do them. Just the act of chewing seems to keep people more focused and improve concentration.
But if you have a pop quiz sprung on you, leave the Juicy Fruit in your pocket. People who didn’t chew gum did better on very short memory tasks, while masticating helped people stay alert during longer ones.
8. Write Things Out.
These days it’s far more common to type up almost all the writing you need to do on your phone or computer. Shopping lists are saved on your tablet, phone numbers and email addresses under your contacts—it’s hardly necessary to remember anything anymore. That is, until you forget your phone and realize you don’t remember if you need to pick up bread and eggs. In the future, if you want to recall something, write it out in longhand. It doesn’t matter if you never actually read back what you wrote: Studies have shown that just the act of writing something out allows you to recall it in a way that touching a keyboard does not.
9. Know When to Turn the Music On—and Off.
Many people like a bit of music playing while they work or study. And listening to music before you start reading something you need to remember does indeed give you better recall. But once you start work, take out those ear buds. Researchers have found that listening to almost any noise, including music, while studying is a distraction, and you will recall less of what you read in the future. It doesn’t matter if you love the music or hate it; it has the same distracting effect as someone yelling random numbers at you. It might seem strange at first studying in complete silence, but science says it pays off in the long run.
10. Visualize.
One of the weirdest and most effective ways to remember something is to associate it with a
visual image. This can be taken to an extreme, where you can recall a huge number of pieces of information just by building up a detailed visual image in your brain. Let’s say you wanted to remember that J.K. Rowling wrote the Harry Potter books. Rowling sounds like bowling, so visualize a bowling alley. Now add to this image a hairy potter. This hirsute man, his hands covered with clay, gets up to roll the ball down the lane. From there you could add other bits of information, for example the names of the different Harry Potter books. Eventually you have a place in your head full of information that you can access at any time. It sounds bonkers, but science says it works.
11. Doodle.
If you are sitting in a boring class or meeting, don’t be afraid to start drawing hearts and flowers in your margins. While it can look like doodlers are paying less attention than non-doodlers, in reality the act of drawing is helping to keep their brain active. Just sitting there when you are bored makes it easier for you to tune out and as a result you will remember less information. In studies, people who were given a doodling task while listening to a boring phone message ended up remembering 29 percent more of what was on the tape than people who just sat still and listened.

7 Things Your Pee Is Trying To Tell You about Your Health

7 Things Your Pee Is Trying To Tell You about Your Health

It might sound strange, but every time you go to the toilet you have a chance to check up on your health. By checking the color of your urine, you can see whether your body is doing well or if you need to see a doctor. Sounds easy, right? Now you just need to know the possible reasons (serious or not) behind each color.

streetzgossips.blogspot.com  researched what the color of your urine reveals about your health and suggestions on what you can do. Have you ever seen your urine appear to be one of these colors?

1-Orange

7 Things Your Pee Is Trying To Tell You about Your Health

Some anti-inflammatory drugs (Azulfidine), chemotherapy drugs, and laxatives with senna can cause an orange color. Overconsumption of vitamin B2 or beta-carotene (carrots) could also be a reason.

If you were not exposed to any of the above, then:

-Drink more water. Dehydration can cause urine to be highly concentrated and vary from dark yellow to orange. In just a couple of hours, it should return to its normal clear yellow color.

-Check your eyes. If you notice any yellowish tint in the whites of your eyes, then orange urine can be a sign that your liver is not functioning properly.

You should make an appointment with a doctor immediately.

2-Pink and Reddish

7 Things Your Pee Is Trying To Tell You about Your Health

It’s probably alarming to see reddish or pink urine, but it is not necessarily serious as it could be caused by food or medications. Before worrying, see the reasons behind this color.

Foods: If you ate beetroot, blackberries, or rhubarb, then you have nothing to worry about. Some of the compounds that make these foods red are excreted in your urine after the kidneys do their job. Normally, it clears up by the next day. If it doesn’t, you should make an appointment with a doctor.

Medications: Certain antibiotics (like Rifadin and Rimactane) used to treat tuberculosis can turn urine reddish. Phenazopyridine, which is used to treat urinary tract infections, and laxatives containing senna can also be reasons for a pinkish color.

Blood: Blood in your urine can be a sign of a urinary tract infection, kidney disease, cancerous or noncancerous tumors, or bladder or kidney stones. If you see any blood clots or other tissues in your urine, see your doctor immediately. Specialists stress that this is rare but underdiagnosed, especially in women as they usually shrug it off as a weird period fluke.

3-Green or Blue

7 Things Your Pee Is Trying To Tell You about Your Health

It might be shocking to see this color, but it’s rare and could be caused by:

Foods: Eating artificially dyed foods or asparagus. Nothing to worry about. It will clear up in a day or 2.

Medications: Some medications (like Amitriptyline, Indomethacin, and Propofol) can cause the change of color.

Attention: If you haven’t been exposed to any of the above, then you should contact your doctor. A green color can signal a rare urinary tract infection caused by the bacteria Pseudomonas. The bug can also cause kidney stones.

4-Brown

7 Things Your Pee Is Trying To Tell You about Your Health

If you see brown shades in your urine, it could be a sign of dehydration. Among the foods that can turn your urine brown are rhubarb and fava beans.

But it’s better to get it checked out, especially if you drink lots of water but the color doesn’t go away. Brown urine could indicate problems with your liver and kidneys.

Attention: If your brown urine is followed by abdominal pain, rashes, and seizures, there is a high possibility of a genetic condition. Also, blood appears brownish when it disintegrates, and this can be a sign of a more serious condition like a tumor.

5- Foaming Or Fizzing

Having foamy urine from time to time is normal and is usually due to the speed of urination. But if it keeps coming back and is more noticeable over time, you should see your doctor.

Foamy or fizzing urine can be a sign of protein in your urine, and this needs professional evaluation as an increased amount can signal a serious kidneyproblem.

6-Transparent

7 Things Your Pee Is Trying To Tell You about Your Health

If your urine is completely transparent, it is a sign that you are drinking too much water. This can cause certain risks, the most important of which is diluting the salts in your body. This can create a problematic chemical imbalance in your body. You should consider drinking less water.

7-Pale Straw Yellow, Transparent Yellow, Dark Yellow

These colors mean you have nothing to worry about. Ideally, your urine should be a pale gold color.

A pale yellow shows a good balance between being under and over hydrated. More concentrated urine is a sign that you need more water. Just keep in mind one golden rule: if it looks like lemonade — good for you!

Here Is What Happens When You Always Sleep With a Fan Turned On Overnight

1. Sinus Irritation
The constant stream of air also has a tendency to dry out your nasal passages, which could affect your sinuses. If the dryness is particularly extreme, it can result in your body producing excess mucous to try to compensate. Then, you’re more susceptible to blockage, stuffiness, and sinus headaches .
2. Can Cause Sore Muscles
When cool air is concentrated to a specific part of the body, the muscles tend to tense or cramp up; hence the stiffness and the soreness. It is advised to face the fan away when sleeping.
3. Can Cause Headaches and Migraines
Another unfortunate side effect of leaving your fan on all night, especially when it reaches a point where it blows dry air, is your susceptibility to headaches and migraines. According to some studies, cold temperatures stimulate the trigeminal nerve, causing your brain’s blood vessels to constrict and thus create a headache.
Other studies also claim that fans do not directly cause headaches or migraines directly, but if the air inside the room is still, you might develop some allergies which might manifest in the form of headaches or migraines.
4. Fans Tend to Collect Dust From Miles Away
When not cleaned often, they may pose a health risk to people with allergies or breathing problems. The dust is noticeable on their blades, and during the night, the air disposed of the fans into the room may be full of dust.
5. Become Bad Habit
Don’t think it’s only smoking that is addictive. If you can’t sleep without a fan, then you might be addicted to that habit without noticing. The bad thing, if you can’t sleep without using blowing fans, then it will be difficult to stop even when it’s harming your health. The result is you won’t be able to sleep in rooms without fans, and you’ll likely suffer from most of the issues we’ve discussed in this post. It’s only wise to use your fan when it’s really necessary.
6. Air From an Electric Fan Could Be Drying Out Your Skin
The constant and high blast of air from the fan may trigger certain reactions from the skin mostly for people who suffer from acne and other existing dry skin conditions such as eczema. Using moisturisers or lotions can assist when using the fan.
7. Respiratory Problems
The symptoms of upper tract respiratory infection tend to appear much more in people who leave their fans on overnight than those who don’t. These symptoms may include nasal congestion, sore or scratchy throat, shortness of breath, sinus pain, rhinitis, or even cough.
According to some studies, people that spend a lot of time in rooms constantly cooled using fans are prone to rhinitis than those that use natural ventilation. Moreover, symptoms of nasal congestion, nasal discharge, and nasal breathing were found to be common in people that use mechanical ventilation. If these problems are not looked into, they can cause severe respiratory problems in the long run.
It is advisable to look for other alternative means to relieve heat from your body other than using the fan all the time. One can wear lighter clothes or even take a cold shower before sleeping. Also, clean your fan regularly if your allergies and skin sensitivity are triggered easily.

Three Deadly Diseases Caused By Skin Bleaching

Recently, a doctor narrated a story that got me worried. He had attended to someone who needed to be operated upon. The procedure was a simple one, so it was successfully done. But there was a problem, the patient in question has been using bleaching cream and the stitches would not heal. Before long, the stiches began to deteriorate. In the end, the patient died.

If bleaching is this dangerous and even destroys the kidney, who do so many people bleach?
I know it is very fashionable to be light-skinned--to be chick and beautiful. Everyone seems to want to date a fair girl--they are the happening girls, and now the dark skinned ones have to bleach to be accepted.

It is worse that almost every local body cream you find in the market makes you 'lighter'. What people don't seem to understand is that if it makes you lighter, it is dangerous and you should stop using it immediately.

Bleaching causes Cancer
Bleaching your skin with skin lightening creams is a free pass to developing skin cancer. The chemicals used in producing lightening creams can lead to the spread of radical cells in the skin, thus leading to the growth and reproduction of cells at an abnormal rate, which find their way into other places in your body. Your skin also stops producing the melanin that is needed to protect your skin from the harmful consequences of ultraviolet radiation.

Bleaching destroys your kidney
Not that I'm encouraging you to sell your kidney, but if you come to know the worth of your kidney, you'd take care of it. Moreso, kidney failure can lead to death. Lightening creams have been known to cause Nephrotic syndrome, which is a major kidney disorder.
Lightening creams contain mercury and with its prolonged usage, not just your kidney would be at risk, but also your lungs.

Bleaching burns your skin
I'm sure you'd have seen those people with burns all over their skin. The corrosive substances in the lightening cream after a long use will eventually lead to your skin looking like what was overcooked. Even to you, this sight becomes irritating.
Bleaching makes you look old
People bleach their skin for the cosmetic advantage; they want to look young and beautiful, with bright shining skins but lightening creams actually does the direct opposite. The chemicals in these creams cause pigmentations and wrinkles that make your skin look like your grandmother's.

Bleaching destroys your self-esteem
Bleaching your skin already indicates that you do not appreciate yourself enough. Bleaching one's skin would however not eliminate the issue of low self-esteem, in short, it only enunciates it loudly to the public. You'll discover how much damage you have done to your skin when the questions begin to troop in. The issue was never your skin, it was you and bleaching would only help to decrease your self-worth.

You may even start to hate yourself when the side effects of using a whitening cream begins to kick in. Looking at the burns and dark spots in the mirror will leave you with regrets and a bigger problem. You may begin to avoid outings like pool parties, and gradually, you'd regress into a thicker shell.
Any cream that you buy that makes you fairer is a health risk. Bleaching destroys the kidney and liver and no right thinking person should bleach.

How to cure pimples fast: top 10 ways

A person’s skin is often a general reflection of their overall health. Radiant, glowing skin results from proper dieting, hydration and other lifestyle choices.

On the other hand, skin that is ridden with pimples indicates problems related to a wide range of factors such as oxidative damage, bacteria and poor diet. These problems call for practical guides on how to cure pimples easily

Research by the American Academy of Dermatology shows that acne is quite prevalent among people of different ages. While pimples are mostly common with among teens, adults also get some occasional pimple breakouts. Pimples cause unsightly scars on the face or other parts of the body where they occur.

If left untreated, pimples could cause skin pigmentation, scarring and often affects a person’s self-esteem. The good news is that it is easy to learn how to cure pimples in a few simple steps. Here are some of the most effective remedies to solve acne problems. Pimple remedies can be classified into dietary, medical, home and lifestyle change remedies. You may have to apply different solutions at a given time for the best results.

1. How to cure pimples through nutrition As a general rule of the thumb, you should avoid foods that cause rapid increases in blood sugar or cause inflammation. Here are a few key points to keep in mind:

  • Eat lots of berries and leafy vegetables.
  • Increase consumption of foods rich in Omega-3 such as salmon.
  • Consume foods rich in zinc. These include yoghurt, chicken and pumpkin seeds. Studies suggest that acne cases are more severe in people with low zinc levels.
  • Increase your consumption of seeds, nuts, fruits and vegetables. These are all high in fibre content and enhance the growth of good bacteria in the body.
  • Add foods that are rich in vitamin-A to your diet. Common ones include liver, carrots and spinach.
  • Avoid foods that contain hydrogenated oils, sugar and gluten. You should substitute cow milk for goat milk since the latter is less likely to contribute to acne.
  • Avoid all allergens and foods you are sensitive to. While allergens vary from person to person, some common ones include peanuts, soy and shellfish.
  • Avoid fried, fast foods. These contain high levels of hydrogenated oils, sugar and artificial flavourings, which can cause inflammation.

2. How to clear pimples using medical treatments

Some severe acne conditions require one to seek professional medical advice. The most common ingredients in anti-acne medicines are Salicylic acid and Benzoyl Peroxide. Additionally, Sulfur, Zinc and Vitamin A derivatives are also used in medical pimple remedies. Benzoyl Peroxide treats pimples by killing the bacteria found within skin pores. This helps open up the pores, reduce redness and soothe skin inflammation. Keep in mind that the treatment could lead to dryness and skin peeling.

You should start with a product that contains low Benzoyl Peroxide concentration and progress upwards depending on how your skin responds to the treatment. Salicylic acid, on the other hand, treats acne by removing excess cells from the skin. This means that there are lesser cells to trap bacteria and excessive sebum within the skin pores. Like Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic acid can cause redness on the skin.

Besides the two products mentioned above, dermatologists can also prescribe the use of antibiotics to reduce the bacteria trapped within skin pores. Once you are done with these medical remedies, the doctor might recommend a glycolic peel to remove scars and spots caused by the pimples. If this happens, make sure to protect yourself from the sun since your skin will be highly sensitive.

3. How to cure pimples using Tea Tree oil

Tea tree oil is used all over the world as an antiseptic. The oil fights off bacteria and fungi that thrive on the skin. Research studies suggest that a gel with five per cent tea tree oil is as effective as medicine containing five per cent Benzoyl Peroxide. Keep in mind that the tea tree remedy for pimples may work a bit slowly as compared to conventional medicines.

To make a home-made tea tree oil remedy, mix four to eight drops of the oil with one teaspoon of jojoba or coconut oil. Apply this mixture directly onto the affected area. You may feel some slight tingling upon application, this is normal. However, if the combination causes excessive skin irritation, stop the application. Tea tree oil is quite harsh on the skin and should always be used together with an additional carrier oil.

To curb excessive irritation after using tea tree oil, apply an anti-inflammatory gel made from chamomile and Aloe Vera.

4. How to get rid of pimples using Holy Basil

Holy Basil is an aromatic perennial plant that is native to the subcontinent of India. The plant is widely cultivated in the Asian tropics and is commonly used for the treatment of anxiety and stress.

The oils extracted from this plant also help fight acne that is caused by bacteria living on the skin. Tulsi tea (made from Holy Basil) maintains healthy hormone and blood sugar levels. By doing this, the acne problem is solved internally by the body.

The oil can also be applied topically to help achieve an even skin tone. Feel free to add some Holy Basil oil drops to your facial cleansers, masks and exfoliators.

5. How to treat pimples using Aloe Vera gel

Aloe Vera contains potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds. These substances help reduce the effects of acne as well as prevent further breakouts. The plant is particularly suitable for people with dry skin since its high water content makes it an excellent moisturizer. In a research study conducted in 2014, people who used Aloe Vera gel to cure mild acne were better improved as compared to a group that used Tretinoin cream.

To use Aloe Vera gel, clean the affected parts and apply a gel containing at least ten per cent Aloe content. You can also purchase good quality Aloe moisturizer creams from reputable health stores. If you opt for an entirely natural solution, get a freshly cut Aloe and apply the gel onto the problem areas. Leave for ten minutes and rinse with warm water.

6. How to get rid of acne using green tea

Green tea is well-known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. One of the leading causes of pimple breakouts is the presence of excessive sebum on the skin. While the body naturally produces sebum, excess secretion of the oil causes buildup, which then causes acne. When the body has inadequate antioxidants, it is unable to break down the excess oils.

Green tea helps the body clear out some waste caused by a buildup of excess oil while also regulating the production of additional sebum. Green tea can be consumed or applied topically to help fight off acne. One study found a more than 79 per cent reduction in whitehead and blackhead pimples after eight weeks of using green tea extract. The extract is rather hard to come across, unlike green tea, which is available in health stores.

7. Staying well-hydrated

Sufficient hydration is paramount in the fight against acne. When the body is well-hydrated, it becomes easier for pimples to heal as well as reduce the possibility of recurrence. Dry skin often gets easily irritated and damaged, thus resulting in an acne breakout. The availability of water in the body also promotes the development of new skin cells and hence, healthier skin.

There is no standard amount of water that one should take since fluid requirements can vary. A person’s age, activity, environment and medical conditions all affect their water intake requirements. Many medical practitioners advocate for a six to eight glass per day water intake.

The other group of pimple remedies is related to making some lifestyle changes.

8. Reducing stress

Stress is listed as a possible cause of pimple breakouts by the American Academy of Dermatology. Stress leads to a rise in androgen levels. Androgen stimulates the production of oil by the hair follicles and glands, thus contributing to pimple formation.

how to clear pimples

Here a few tips to help you avoid stress:

  • Talking to friends and family about potentially stressful situations
  • Eating a balanced diet
  • Engaging in regular exercise
  • Limiting caffeine and alcohol consumption
  • Practising meditation, yoga and deep breathing routines

9. How to get clear skin through adequate sleep If you feel that you are not getting restful sleep, then this could be contributing to pimple formation. When the body is not adequately rested, it surges the production of cortisol, which could potentially cause acne.

The solution to inadequate is quite easy, get more sleep. However, this may be easier said than done. You should begin a routine where you give your body ample sleeping time to allow restorative processes. You should always take off your make up before going to bed every day.

10. Never touch pimples

One of the most overlooked points when learning how to remove pimples is reducing contact. Touching acne sores can potentially cause further infection. While it does feel very tempting, doing so only irritates the skin and increases the risk of acne spreading to other areas. If you pop, squeeze or rub a pimple, you are potentially introducing new bacteria into the sore.

You can learn how to cure pimples quickly using this guide. Some remedies work better for particular skin types than for others. The medical, home and lifestyle remedies mentioned above will help clear pimples and give you that sought-after glow on your skin. Keep in mind that severe acne conditions need medical attention to determine the underlying causes

Below are some of the benefits of Olive oil to the skin.

When Olive oil is applied to the skin, antioxidants may prevent premature aging. Also, some research suggests that putting olive oil on the skin after sun exposure may fight off cancer-causing cells.

Vitamin

Olive oil contains the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K. Some of these vitamins may be beneficial for the skin. For example, people have used vitamin E oil topically throughout history to treat a variety of skin conditions, including psoriasis and eczema.

Antibacterial

Olive oil has been shown to have antibacterial properties. However, there are very few studies on olive oil’s ability to control bacteria on the skin.  However, olive oil may sometimes be used to treat bacterial infections of the skin. Moisturiser

Olive oil is a popular natural moisturizer that is often used to soften both skin and hair. However, there is very little research on its effectiveness

7 qualities a man look for in a woman he wants to get married to

The male folks are not very complicated in choosing who they want to spend the rest of their lives with, but there are some salient factors they lookout in a woman they want to get married to, which a lot of people call ‘wife material’. It can be surprising that a man can date a lady for years and never pop out the question ‘will you marry me? And sometimes two people can be together for a couple of months and the guy is ready to pop out the question because he has seen a wife in her.
Some men, however, are difficult pleased because of their antique and dogmatic beliefs about what a wife should be or what a wife material should be, but a real man who knows and understand that a woman is equal to him and believes marriage is about love and companionship his who you can describe as a real man.
Also note that there is no universal appraisal that can authentically explain what a man looks for in a woman but there are some denominating factor every real man wants in a woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with.

Qualities a man wants in a woman
1 Respect: it is the singular most attractive nature that draws any man to a woman, a woman who knows how to make the man feel respected can always have her way around him, when you hear she has his mumu button, it is because the lady has given him the medicine that caresses his ego ‘respect’ as a lady wants undivided attention and love, a man needs respect and support. So respect him, be his number one cheerleader and support him he would be drawn to you and see the quality of a wife in you.

2 Neatness : it might look trivial but this are unsaid things a man look out for in a woman before he pops the question, he tries to observe if you are neat hygienically and other areas of your life because he believes the home will be beautiful If the lady has a sense of neatness and organization. The quality of being a neat lady is also an attractive and classy one, from the way you carry yourself, to the clothes you wear, your hygiene and self-organization will also reflect in your closet and ultimately your home.

3 Career driven : gone are the days were women were passive individuals in the society, now ladies are captains of industries, successful entrepreneurs, executives and are bubbling with a good career, a real man is driven to women who have something going on for her life, plus no man wants to marry a liability as no woman wants to marry a broke man. A career-driven woman is confident, independent and she knows what she wants out of her life, to top the self-oriented drive as a woman of purpose and also have a submissive nature for your man, you have created one of the greatest quality of being a wife material.

4 Family-oriented : one of the major factors of being a great mother is to be a caregiver especially to your kids and if he doesn’t see this in you he might not find you as someone he wants to get married to, a woman must be able to balance her life and never let the family suffer, it is more difficult if you are a career-driven woman but don’t put this to the detriment of your family, when he sees that you care about family, friends and you are generally a caregiver he sees you in the future with him.

5 She holds similar values: in this case, it explains compatibility, if you guys don’t hold similar beliefs about many issues then it will be naturally difficult to even have an agreement and not have a fuss over it, so forcing this relationship is dangerous because you both will have to argue a lot and if you want to make it work, you both will have to compromise a lot to make it work. So compatibility is also a quality he looks for in a woman

6 Support system : as many ladies want a man who can complete them, it is also the same for men, they want a lady that can be supportive and believes in him, those little inspiring words like, I believe in you, you got this, God got you and so on helps a man have a sense of trust in you which is a fantastic quality he wants in his woman.

7 Trust : this is the most important quality to him, he must trust you enough to ask you to be his wife, if he sees that you are shady and he cannot trust you because of past precedent and you’ve made him lose the trust he has for you, he might never pop the question, because a man must know he is taking a vow and wants to spend the rest of his life with you. All he needs his your love, trust and support system

Your business cannot fail if you understand these 4 secrets

Small businesses can fail and numerous big businesses have failed too. So, business failure is not a matter of size, there are secrets to it too. This is far from planning, businesses that plan the most, fail the most if they don't execute the plans. One action is much better than ten thousand good intentions without a single action.
Almost every start-up write a 26 page business plan, I've personally helped a lot of startups with that too but some never follow through to implementation. All they needed it for was to win an investor or raise some funds or attract a kind of partnership after which it's filed away and never used until some kind of problem arises.

The secret success of every business lies on these 4 things.
1 Team and leadership
The success of every business lies in the leadership of the business. I would love to ask you this question, feel free to answer it on the comment session. The question is on the picture below. Remember it's asking you about the most important, all of them are important but what do you consider as the most important in a business? I will be in the comment session to conclude it, give my opinion and why I think so.

2 grow big but stay small
Have you noticed that when businesses start newly, they listen to every user complain? They want to understand users' need and conscious about their product pricing but once they penetrate the market, everything changes. They become too big to listen to the customers, they raise product price and even reduce quality. For businesses like this, they think becoming a market leader means abusing the customers choice.
As a business, you need to know what attracted your customers to you and try to improve it better so you can keep them loyal while attracting more people. One major challenge big businesses have is difficulty in decision making and time delay of execution. Complains from clients to customer service takes time to climb the organisational ladder from head of the customer service to branch leader to area manager to regional manager to the country head and then the board members sit for meeting many days on the matter before making decisions.
The result is then passed down from region to area to branches and then to workers making changes take so much time. This waste of time is enough for a new business to disrupt the market and end your business. I would have mentioned names in the banking industry, phone industry, Telecom and certain household products but that would mean putting some brand in a bad image which won't be healthy. While expanding and growing stay small enough to be closer to your customers either by directing customer complain directly to top managerial level or giving lower managerial level enough power to make decisions in seemingly smaller issues.

3 Policies and market trend
A single policy is enough to kill a business or boost another business. The closing of borders in Nigeria today have ended a lot of business and of course, has boosted a lot of locally made goods too. A single policy, be it government or any other authority guiding your business operation can end your business. In 2018, the Chinese government expelled all Korean businesses out of China and a lot of businesses died instantly irrespective of how big or how small they were.
How can you use this to your benefit?
Know what the government is interested in and align your business to that. Look at the yearly budget of your government, what projects do they want to promote and then align your business to that. If the government is interested in promoting locally made goods, begin to align and make a shift to that. Makeshift especially to areas where the government wants to pump in money either as a grant, tax break or loans
Coming to market trends, things evolve to kill another. The days of kerosene lanterns have ended and given room to rechargeable lanterns and energy-saving bulbs. If you fail to understand and obey market trend, your business will be as good as dead. Evolve or dissolve.

4 Never run out of money
Sometimes in business, we know what to do that will take our business to a high level. We know just exactly what to do that will solve that business problem. We exactly know that next market move that once we make that move we will earn so much profit. But why don't we do it? Money. Yes, money.
When businesses run out of money and don't know how to attract investment either through equity or loans, it usually becomes the end of that business no matter how big they are. This is why you hear that a business closed down or that a business has been bought over by another business. Some businesses incur a lot of debt at a time like this just to scale through or probably merge with another. The advice is simple. Never Run Out of Money.
Reminder
I asked you a question at the beginning of this article, here is the question again. I will be waiting in the comment session to give a conclusion
