JSS 3 student impregnated by school principal gives birth

The 16-year-old girl was delivered of the baby on
Saturday, October 28 at Injita village in Shiroro Local
Government Area of Niger state.
Faith Danjuma, the JSS 3 student of the
Government Day Secondary School who was
allegedly impregnated by the school Vice
principal, Mohammed Mohammed has given birth
to a baby boy.
The 16-year-old girl was delivered of the baby on
Saturday, October 28 at Injita village in Shiroro Local
Government Area of Niger state.
Speaking to newsmen on Tuesday, November 7, in
Minna, Danjuma said she discovered her pregnancy
weeks after the principal had carnal knowledge of her
in his office.
“When I realized that I lost my period, I informed him
and he gave me some tablets. I did not know how the
news of my pregnancy broke out,”
Danjuma said she disliked the way she was treated
during pregnancy and vowed that she will not allow
the incident to shatter her dream.
"I did not receive any assistance from the Vice
Principal despite the agreement between him and the
child rights agency.
“ I am not happy that I am now a mother at this tender
age, I will not allow the incident to shatter my dream
of becoming a nurse. I still want to further my studies
because I want to be a be a nurse in the future”.
However, the vice principal, who impregnated the 16-
year-old girl has since been arrested.
Mohammed was arraigned in April after the incident
and is standing trial on two counts charge of
impregnating a female pupil and unlawful sexual
intercourse with a child.
