This is the city with the fastest growing population of cheaters

People cheat in every city and town across the country, indeed,across the world.

And while everyone has their own subjective set of reasons for being unfaithful—a lack of satisfaction in their relationship; an irresistible attraction to someone else; a drunken lapse in judgment; un-indulged polyamorous desires; an unabashed sense of personal entitlement; the list goes on—there are apparently a few cities in which cheating is becoming increasingly common.

According to new data from Ashley Madison, an online affair-arranging service, Los Angeles has the fastest growing population of philanderers. In 2017, the City of Angels yielded a 47 percent increase in new Ashley Madison accounts. Apparently, Beverly Hills was particularly primed for adultery, with a 32 percent increase in user sign-ups.

New York, where user sign-ups increased by 40 percent, came in second.Washington, D.C. came in third, with a 34 percent uptick in registrations, whileAtlanta, Phoenix, and Austin, tied for fourth, with a 29 percent upswing each. In Seattle, user intake jumped by 28 percent; inJacksonville, Florida, it went up by 27 percent; and in both Houston and San Francisco, Ashley Madison bolstered its ranks by 24 percent.

"If we look at the top 10 cities on a map, we can see they range from coast-to-coast,”Isabella Mise, Ashley Madison's director of communications, said in a press release."This tells us that stepping out of the marriage really isn’t an isolated occurrence, people across the country are looking to fulfill their unsatisfied needs at a growing rate."

It bears noting, too, that these 10 cities are also among the country's most populous, which might have something to do with the results. In any case, as the company notes, the tendency to cheat does seem to bridge political beliefs, too.

Of course, living in these cities doesn't make you an automatic target for infidelity. But it doesn't hurt to be especially alert of potential signs of cheating if you call these cities home.
