Black Lives Matter: These 22 photos of black people will definitely touch your soul

Jun 10, 2020 4:58 PM

Racism being a belief that a particular race is superior or inferior to another, just like always it appears to always have been directed at blacks throughout many years from, to more than any other race. It is the same roots of reasons people had rioted after Martin Luther King Jr's Assassination. The civil rights movement was a struggle for social justice that took place mainly during the 1950s and 1960s for black Americans to gain equal rights under the law in the United States. The Civil War had officially abolished slavery, but it didn’t end discrimination against black people—they continued to endure the devastating effects of racism, especially in the south.

Recently, a huge peaceful rallies have taken place across the US against racism and police brutality on the 12th day of protests sparked by the death of George Floyd.

From Berlin to Barcelona, thousands of people are rallying against racial inequality and ...Demonstrations have taken place in Spain, Italy, Hungary, the UK, Denmark and Belgium as Europe ...Thousands took to the streets across Australia on Saturday, as did hundreds in Tokyo and Seoul to tens of thousands of people marched in Washington DC, in the city's largest protest so far. Security forces blocked any approach to the White House.

Crowds also demonstrated in New York, Chicago, LA and San Francisco.

Meanwhile, people paid their respects to Mr Floyd in North Carolina, where he was born, before a memorial service.

Mr Floyd, an unarmed black man, died in police custody in Minneapolis on 25 May. Video showed a white police officer kneeling on his neck for almost nine minutes while he is pinned to the floor.

Officer Derek Chauvin has been dismissed and charged with murder. Three other officers who were at the scene have also been sacked and charged with aiding and abetting.

After so many years, racism is arguably an existent disease most or every black person and everyone's been fighting but the truth is, it's not the beginning and the end of racism, but a fight happens to be a powerful step by step start, right? We all live in a three-dimensional world. All physical objects have a certain height, width and depth. We're supposed to look beyond our complexion. But sadly, people treat each other with despise drawing distinctions on race, colour and slightly sex. Afro descendents, blacks, negroes still fight hardcore for equality.

Let us all look beyond our skin. We're all people with same inalienable rights and similar aspirations. No living person is a child of a lesser God. We all need eachother, To love, to lean on, to support despite our difference in race, colour or gender.
