HOW TO GET PREGNANT WITH TWINS.

Twins have been regarded as special species for ages, but it looks like it’s a gift only Mother Nature can give whoever she wishes. This has made people of the opinion that twins are relatively rare to conceive. Still, fertility experts believe that twins come more often than we think because a woman can have more than one egg fertilized, but in lots of cases, only one embryo survives; making single birth very common.

There are two types of twin as we all know: the identical and the non-identical twin. Identical twins are formed when one egg is fertilized by one sperm that later splits into two embryos. These twins do share not only facial features but also have the same genetic structure and placenta. On the other hand, non-identical twins are formed when two separate eggs are fertilized by two different sperm. These twins emerge with different placentas and may have distinct genetic compositions.

Having twins are desirable for many couples. This is because the joy of parenting becomes double at their arrival. But several factors influence multiple births for many people. Some of these factors are age, ethnicity, weight, family history, and the number of children they already have.

But twins aren’t impossible. Do you desire to have twins? The good news is there are certain things to do to increase the chances. Here are several procedures put together for you if you wish to get a bigger baggy:

1. Diet: The probability of having twins has been linked with healthy diets. Studies have shown that certain foods seem to increase one’s chances of having twins. Women who eat food that is rich in protein are more susceptible to having twins. Studies have also shown that women who take lots of dairy products are more likely to give birth to twins than women who do not. This is perceived to be caused by the growth hormones given to cows which may still be actively affecting the human hormone.
2. Pauses between pregnancies: Studies have shown that giving considerable breaks between pregnancies could increase your likelihood of having twins and that women who get pregnant not long after delivering have fewer chances of birthing twins than women who give pauses. So if you’re looking to have multiple babies, you may want to slow down on getting pregnant.

3. Fertility drugs: Most fertility drugs help to increase the likelihood of conceiving twins. This is because they are designed to boost the number of eggs a woman’s ovary can produce. The occasion of having more eggs produced can cause more than one to be released and fertilized by the sperm, which can result in fraternal twin. Most fertility drugs are taken by mouth, but dosage depends on the individual’s preference. Others can be administered through injection. Fertility drugs help to stimulate the hormones; causing ovulation. Studies have shown that women who take fertility drugs are more likely to have twins than women who do not. Fertility drugs are safe but may have side effects as with any other medication.

4. IVF: In-vitro Fertilization (IVF) is a medically assisted method of conception. Fertility treatments like IVF open the door to multiple pregnancies. In IVF, a woman’s egg and a man’s sperm are removed separately before they are fertilized. After fertilization, they are left to incubate in a laboratory dish where the embryo starts to form. The fetus is then medically placed in a woman's uterus to grow. In most cases, more than one embryo is placed in the womb. This is to increase the chances of the embryo implanting, and this may result in multiple pregnancies.
