We are human and we will continue praying to Creator to answer our prayers. These five things make your prayers to be delayed.
1. Sins : You commit sins without repenting. Sin can make your prayers to be rejected. Seek forgiveness and stay away from sins.
2. Eating and Drinking from Unlawful food: If there is a certain supplication that is not answered, it is because we have done something wrong.
For example, consuming unlawful food is a reason for our supplications to be rejected. One should repent to Allah and give up all sins.
Allah says in the Quran:
I said, " Ask forgiveness of your Lord, He is ever forgiving. He will send down abundant rain from the sky for you, He will give you wealth, He will provide you with gardens and river"
3. Praying for something Unlawful : If we ask Allah Almighty for something that is unlawful, such as breaking family ties, our supplication will not be answered.
The Prophet (PBUH) is reported to have said:
A person's supplication will continue to be answered as long as he does not pray for something sinful or for the breaking of family ties.
4. Imaptient can make your prayers . rejected : One’s supplication will not be answered if he hastens for it. The Prophet (PBUH) said:
The supplication of any one of you will be answered as long as he is not impatient and says, 'I made supplication, but it was not answered'.Hasten can make your prayers to be rejected. Have believe that God has not neglected you.
5. Making the answer conditional:
One’s supplication will not be answered if he makes the answer conditional.For example, do not supplicate and say if Allah cures my illness, I will give to charity .
Above all, one needs to have believe that your prayers will be answered.
You cannot stay at home and expect miracles. You need to work. For example, asking God for a job and you do not even attempt to look for job.
